- Add an outline to the current ability thats being used
- When the player is using an ability give them a small tip like when you press walk you could show arrow keys / AD. And when you press shoot you can show a mouse and write like click, hold & aim
- Make it clearer which abilities you can still use, so after the player has used an ability you can disable that ability by making the button a bit darker for example.
- Show when its the players turn, you could do this by just having text like "Goblin 1 turn..." "Goblin 2 turn..." "Player turn!". Or you could do it by having a row of icons of the creatures and a white border for the creature whos turn it is right now.
I know you have a tutorial but most people skip will skip it or never click it, communication inside the gameplay goes a long way to get the player more into the game and faster. Anyways the game is still obviously playable and fun, really impressive for 48 hours! Well done!
One thing I felt missing was the clarity of what moves are left and whose turn is it.
Good work.
Thanks for playing!
I agree that there could be some changes to help the player out a bit, but I had fun playing it :)
@adjo thanks! I had a lot of fun making the animations.
