P.S. I actually kind of got stuck at the very first stage and retried several times and get a little frustrated when:
But then... Something clicked in the game mechanics. And I... FELL IN LOVE WITH THE GAMEPLAY. These are such simple and interesting puzzles.
I'll call them blobs, okay? The mechanics of the first blob provide a lot of interesting gameplay. Jumping out of a monster increases your jump, dying also gives a jump boost, which creates interesting situations where I have to kill my blob and jump up. Then the second blob comes into play and the game becomes even more interesting. Double jump with double death. But the special mechanics of the second blob are less interesting. Like... You dash, but it's a very narrow mechanic. You need more interaction with it.
Also, jumping into the void bothered me. I was really afraid of dying like in a horror game, lol.
The graphics are not polished, but the game does not need it. You can create a unique game using this mechanic. Find a good artist.
I definitely did not expect this from a random game from jam. Surprised.
Fun 4/5
