Doc, Something Under My Skin! by InOnesGraveDed
hey! you may wonder... why there is no game here. well, it's because god[ot] doesn't love us and we kinda broke the code trying to rewrite it. we have the sprites, the music, the sounds, dialogue, animations, good god everything. just nothing to put it on. but we still had a lot of fun!
as for the premise... you're a doctor working with a company that develops anti-parasitic medications, and anything remotely related to that. this new machine entrusted into your tired hands is supposed to be diagnose parasitic infections better than any possible method and an mri on top could even hope for. and everything goes as smooth as uncontaminated butter, until... a completely unremarkable middle-aged sack of a man comes in and the machine refuses to interact with him whatsoever. but he sure loves to interact with you! shenanigans ensue. a story of parasites, humans, newfound homes and tiny creatures in even tinier spaces.
if you're interested, we'll probably upload it to itch.io in the near future! naggingatlas is the most active user out of all three of us, you can find her on twitter and tumblr.
and thanks for reading this, if you even found it in the first place lol.

The art style is really well done. It's a pity the game didn't get finished, though.
I like the art style, and the cheeky dialogs, would like to know what's all this about!
1) Power on the devices.
2) Switch between scan and monitor control. "Scan" for choosing which part of body you want to scan, and "monitor" for making a snapshot and displaying it.
Of course there should have been a tutorial, but I fucked up because lack of experience and time.
@suno @magopian here

I really like the writing and the art. Each character felt really different and distinct.
However, as everyone else is also saying: you art is great! Very unique look - love the facial expressions.
Sad the little guy had to eat raw meat though .___.
@sspsd thank you! :)
@mdsalomon thanks a lot. We're working on the full version of the game now. Seems that in near weeks it will be finished. If you interested, I can notify you when it's ready :)
@chrisbeck when we were on the concept stage I said exactly "..like Papers Please but you’re a doctor.." XD Thanks!
@minibobbo I'll deliver your kind words to naggingatlas, our awesome artist+writer ;)
@elzach oh my, the author of [The Battle Of The Pixels](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/56/the-battle-of-the-pixels) himself! Haha, but really, it's ludum dare algorithms or there is a way to search a game by user? Anyway, very much appreciate for playing! And about the second patient, yes, it should work like that for.. plot. Bit off more than we can chew I guess, so there is only 1/3 of the game. Our first game and ludum dare after all :)
The gameplay, while confusing and in definite need of a tutorial, the game has good atmosphere and could a be good set up for a horror game. Also some ambience/music would go a long ways to set a really good mood
