曾经后口动物究竟是如何演化成地球上最成功的动物门类脊椎动物的?这是一条最强但也是最难的自由之路。玩家将扮演一只肉虫子从滤食开始逐步演化为脊椎动物。

Once, tiny creature deuterostomes began their journey, eventually evolving into the most successful group of animals on Earth—vertebrates. This is the strongest yet most challenging path to freedom. Players will take on the role of a soft-bodied worm, starting as a filter feeder and gradually evolving into a vertebrate.

The game features 5 different endings, each explaining the outcomes of various evolutionary paths from deuterostomes to vertebrates. During the same era, trilobites, sea scorpions, and cephalopods quickly dominated ecological niches with their early claws and armor, while our ancestor deuterostomes retained their harmless appearance, falling behind in the race and nearly reverting to the forms seen in the Ediacaran period. Yet, evolution is full of surprises, and every choice becomes a stepping stone for the future...

The movement mechanic feels weird, like I don't really get how the creature react to my inputs.
I think that's because the center of rotation is misplaced on the smaller creature

Very fun! I can't say I'll remember the biology lesson part even if you ask me next month but that's a fresh and good idea for a roguelike. Gj ! (RIP my little fish)

Pretty original to choose an evolution game. Reminded me of the first phase of Spore just looking for nutriments !
Turning is a bit slow but good movement still. I like the art and animations. Actually fun to come to an end and try again to find a new route (completionist mindset)
And as a bonus you made me learn something ! ^^

Impressive game art and graphics! I think it would be nicer to have some kind of achievement tracking board to show which ending I've unlocked. Also, perhaps the source of the biology class pictures is forgotten?

Really like that the game is educational, and with its simple gameplay, it seems very suitable as a biological enlightenment for teenagers (but as an adult, I still find it interesting). GJ!

I like it very much! The artstyle, maybe simple, but it's very coherent, nice color palette, nice creatures design. I was really curious about my creature evolutionary route and what comes next. Very cool!

i didn't expect to find a jam game where i would learn things, so thank you! I really liked the universe you chose because it was kinda unexpected and niche haha also art is nice!

having sort of checkpoints help a lot because the first time i died as an eel (don't expect me to remember the names tho) i was afraid i had to restart everything but no!

The design of the content is novel, but there seem to be some problems with the movement control system. Regardless of the original movement direction, the movement instructions will be reflected in a single form.

I got all 5 endings and beat the game. This is a fantastic game taking the fool potential of the theme and turning it in to something really interesting and inspiring. I had blast playing and learning new things about my great great great great great (...) grandparents. Loved it!

Nice educating game ! Graphics are cool and the game works very well despite the strange movement control (but we take it in hand easily)
I just think that the scientific boards don't integrate very well with the rest of the visuals.
I had fun doing it, thank you :)

Fun little game giving a biology lesson too, although I doubt I'd remember most of the lessons to be honest. The different ways to 'fail' the game were a good way to explain how each of the different type of life evolved from a common ancestor through small difference during this era.

I did feel the ending was abrupt but after reading the description saw it was only intended to cover this period of time.
