Ant of War by OnlinE_Play
About game: I would like to introduce you to a game titled Ant of War. If I had to describe what the game is about, I would say it's a strategy similar to the well-known browser game Age of War. The game involves controlling ants to reach the opponent's anthill, and to do so, you need to avoid enemies and collect food.
Development: I'm glad I managed to finish the game for Ludum Dare 56, but I'm not fully satisfied with the final product. The game has a few bugs, and many aspects were rushed to meet the deadline. This might have been influenced by the fact that I spent all of Saturday at work, so I really only started working on the game on Sunday. I still believe the game could have been done much better. Besides that, the code I wrote is terrible, but that's a different story.

Also, you can easily softlock yourself by losing your last ant with less than 10 food left, which can lead to you having to sit around and wait for the enemy ants to send enough ants to get past the anteater.
It took some time, but I beat it!! It can be a bit frustrating to have to click the ant and then click where to go. You need to be quick when the anteater is coming for you, so it can get frustrating. I think the game would improve drastically if the number of leaves that spawn increased. A lot of the time, I was just waiting for a leaf to show up or for the anteater to eat enough ants. I'm also not sure what to do when the anteater goes all the way to the left. A restart button would be nice too, especially when you've lost all your ants and all you can do is wait. However, I do like how the ants look; it's cool how realistic they are. And... if I can be honest... I think it was a bug that helped me win the game... If the ant is frozen from the first click, the enemy ants that collide with it just die. I'm not sure if that was intentional... Anyway, given the time you had, it was a decent effort! Well done!
