Premise
You are a vampire who has decided to move away from the hustle and bustle of the Big Garlic Clove and moved out into the country. Its a great place, and you can even raise animals for your... particular dietary restrictions. Theres just one problem: all those animals make a lot of noise, and the neighbors are nosey. Fill up your silo with enough blood to last the winter before your you draw too much attention to win
Gameplay
Click on the plots of land to start growing an animal! Baby animals cost blood to buy and fully grown animals can be harvested for blood. Some animals make a lot of noise when you harvest them, which increases your suspicion. Finding the balance is key but remember: neighbors naturally get more suspicious over time, so you cant play it too safe
Controls
Click on the plots of land to start growing an animal Change what animal you want to buy by clicking the different icons in the shop up at the top Click on an animal that is done growing to harvest
Winning
Fill up your blood silo to win!
Losing
If you fill up your suspicion bar you lose. Your suspicion bar fills over time, so watch out

I won with 96% suspicion.
I appreciate the touch of the animals having different sprites for stages of growth. I love Tamagotchi. So this is a little like that but with butchery.
Anyway, good entry and impressive as a compo!
It is veary easy to figure out that the best way to win is to use cow :) Since time is the biggest problem in regard to suspicion, the best way to win is to go fast!
I mostly raised chickens, but I don't see any point in buying other animals. Especially the last paddock.
I bought one, and that's quite enough.
but I liked the game
I tried playing through the game with chickens-only, pigs-only, cows-only (plus two pigs), and a mixed strategy:
- An all-chicken strategy doesn't work at all. The 2 net blood doesn't deliver nearly fast enough to keep up with the gradual suspicious increase. However, the Chickens seem potentially useful for maxing out the early game, when you can't fill all the pins with pigs or cows.
- The all-pig strategy just barely worked. I bought the two upgrades, and made sure not to replant my pigs when the suspicion got around 80%, and I won with about 96% suspicion.
- The all-cow strategy (plus two pigs to pay for the cow) worked a lot better than all-pigs. I bought all three upgrades, and ended the game with only around 75% suspicion.
- For the mixed strategy, I was able to get the suspicion level down to 68% for the win, by starting with a pair of pigs, then a second pair of pigs, then adding cows as fast as I could (and also buying one upgrade). Ended the game with one cow and a pig to just barely reach 500 blood.
Seems like the ideal strategy for lowest suspicion is to start with pigs, transition early to cows, and then use some mix at the very end to reach 100% blood with as little margin as possible. Not sure if there's a different strategy you'd use if you're going for speed rather than suspicion, maybe all-pigs?
I guess all that to say, the game was balanced enough to have possible reasons you'd use each of the animals (maybe excepting the chicken).
As for reasons to go with various strats, my original goal was to have periodic events which would alter the ratios of price, time, and suspicion which would encourage people to go down different paths. but the time crunch comes for us all :(
Interesting concept! I managed to beat the game (barely) using a chickens (they kinda suck) then switching to cows ASAP, with two extra slots.
why people would find it suspicious for a farmer to slaughter pigs, though...
There should have been a particle effect when harvesting the animals. A shower of blood would have been both satisfying and hilarious, I think.
@henk its funny, if I do continue on and juice up this game that was the first thing I was thinking about adding. That and giving the sprites an idle animation to make them feel a bit more alive
