More about me and the process
I have been to game jams before but this is my first Ludum Dare. :) I am a professional programmer so I was pretty comfortable with the (messy) code I wrote but I definitely have more troubles with the art/music/sfx. With that said, I love how much I managed to do by myself. Turns out sometimes you just have to sit down and make something to... make something.
You will notice the boot that stomps is a cutout. At first I made the cutout only to serve as a reference so that I can draw the boot. But then it started looking kinda cool so I just left it like this. Hope you like it as well. :)

Regarding the topic mentioned earlier, I think the game had a message up to that point — **Mild Spoilers Ahead** That some people would be considered higher than others, and the Mc is willing to step on people 'lesser than', and I this message kinda waters down in the end, but I think that showing some dialogue abt MC's morals and putting them into question would better frame them as someone bad. Maybe using sfx to show suffering idk, make the last scene more uncomfortable. But it'd be pretty understandable not to add those technical features, due to time constraints, but i think that maybe having more build-up and working a bit more in the last dialogues would have been more than enough.
Nevertheless, I rly liked the game and enjoyed a lot. Liked your interpretation of the theme!
The music and generally cheerful tone go well with the "it's not a big deal" narrative.

Game play wise I was confused about it feeling like a success stomping on the dudes. both via the name of the game and the sound effects. it took me a while to understand that it was bad. I also think it would have been interesting to have combo-bonuses for the more that you were hitting.
Quite soon it got so very crowded though, and with the delay in the stomp, that I sort of gave up on very much trying to avoid them. It would have worked better if the aim was to stomp bankers and politicians and other high value targets with that crowd density. Then a combo bonus would have been very sweet. Could have super extra bonus multiplier for only stomping people of one kind.
