All I ever needed is an amoeba with a shotgun! I really like the microscope effect with the blurred microbes sliding in the background :thumbsup:

The gameplay is enjoyable, with nice special effects! =) Why was the decision made not to include damage from enemies to the amoeba?

The splats staying on the background adds a lot of visual interest to otherwise simple graphics that looks really, really cool.

Well done! At first, I thought I would really like it if the shotgun would autofire. Then I realized that would make it a lot like Vampire Survivors and you could add all kinds of weapons and things. Nice work!

@daff I was going to make a life bar and do the whole flash on damage with a second of invulnerability type thing but life got in the way and I ran out of time.

Cute, simple, and fun!

Lol this game is really fun actually. I enjoy the simplicity of it and also just the satisfaction of blasting the enemy units, and all of the visual elements come together to make it an experience.

It would be good to maybe just let the player hold to shoot because it did get tiring after a while.

The game is weird. It drops you into a potential hellzone and had me frantically dodging and shooting. Until I realized I couldn't die. I'm not sure if there's a game win condition. You're also not supposed to harm other microbes but I don't think there's any mechanic implemented or at least communicated that dissuades this.

Seems a bit easy. Thought esc paused the game but apparently crashed it?
Would help a lot if you could spend those green globs for upgrades I think.
I liked the blurred out green sticks and such, reminds me of the minigame from Spore.

Everything is pretty good art is nice, music is good and gameplay works. Though, it doesn't take too long to get boring. There was one circular wave of big baddies. Maybe more of stuff like that would have helped. I wish there was some other mechanic to spice things up. My wrist hates me for clicking frantically for 5 minutes straight.
