Tiny Creature Word by candlesan

Drag the columns up and down to spell words that match the theme of each level.
I was short on time this Ludum Dare so I chose to do a smaller scope word game. I've enjoyed short simple word games like Wordle, Wordscapes, and many of the puzzles they have on the NY Times website so I thought I'd explore a ruleset I haven't seen before in a way that allowed me to explore the jam theme.

Nice sound playback, idea of extra world adds some variety in game process.
Well done!
Well done!
Super solid game. Both frustrating and fun!
Good job!
I don't think you should have opted out of graphics. It's a clean-looking game.
That said, I love word puzzles, so I was hooked from the beginning.
The 6 letters word felt easy to guess just by looking at the grid, or maybe it's because pets are easier than what the theme was for 4
I was wondering if there were algorithmic challenges while playing (like a word you would not have to see coming that could be formed but not a "valid" one). I am guessing that's most probable around 4/5 letters. edit: I saw the Extra word thing
The flat graphic (reading the comment above) is nice for this kind of entry. It inspired me so much that it prompted me to do a 30-minute session of fiddling in Krita on how I would have done it. But that may be insensitive to share!
Great job!
Congratulations!
PS: because I don't know English very well, I had to ask my son for help.
