I realy like the design of the slime, i thinks he move and jump a bit too high or too fast in my opinion, nice game

High intensity gameplay! I was sad that it was a bit short, it feels like the concept could support even more levels as the character's size never really became an issue for me.

Good game, has it only 2 levels (yet?)? If not it might lack of an indication of where to go after u get the 3 potions, but I'll start it over. What's the game engine ?

Nice game! I enjoyed playing it through. I agree that the movement could be slowed down a bit and the jump made a little shorter, this could help make the game a bit longer and maybe harder too. Really good work though, I like it!

@boodle Initially i was going to add much more levels but ran out of time

I think It could have been interesting if you had the ability to change your size, keeping the same fast paced movment, like running along a grate not falling through and then jump, become small and fit through a gap that sort of thing.

It's a really interesting concept, but it wasn't enough in the light ? the game is so short and the levels are so easy that you don't really feel pressured too rush (and that's what that mechanic should induce). I woudn't have been able to know the mechanic if I didn't read it before I played. But awesome ideas and graphics !

Interesting concept of the game, i don't get why i should pick up potions, i can complete level without shrinking(

Cool concept but I had to read the comments to actually understand the game. I just ran through the whole game in 10 seconds and didn't see myself growing. Longer levels might be a big improvement on the difficulty. Great entry with cool art and sound.

@custodi @MrMaico @Tarisma The player grows and the potions are used to shrink the player. It’s kinda slow so I get why you don’t see it. I’ll try to fix this after the jam ratings ended

This is a cool way to use the theme as a time limit! I think if you made the growth a bit more obvious visually, you could remove the timer and let the art communicate the urgency by itself. I'd love to play more levels exploring this concept. Putting some hazards on the ceiling could be an interesting way to add more tension.

I like the idea, the movement was a bit floaty, and a bit short. But overall, still a good entry :)

Cute entry! I like the idea of picking up potions, but timers always stress me out. I did find the movement a bit too floaty and I fell off twice when it felt like I should jumped, but overall nice work!

Congrats on your entry, very playable and good graphics and sound. The game is very short though, I managed to complete it in under a minute. Using shrink potions is a good idea, though there is not much strategy involved as it is. It's just a matter of moving as quickly as possible.

Cool game! As other mentioned I couldn't understand the need for the potions, more feedback as to what the goal was and why do you need to shrink would've been really good.
The art looks awesome and I liked the overall concept, cool entry!

@glaciereclipse Thanks for your feedback. The idea was that you needed to be small in order to exit each level as the exit is a small gap and your constantly getting bigger the potions is what keeps you small.

Short and sweet - I was mostly able to just hold move right and press space occasionally and won. Cool mechanic but in my short experience I didn't get to see much of the growth. After sitting still i could see it :)

Great concept! I wish there were more levels for more difficulty (it would also be useful for speedrunning if we could see our time in the end after winning).

Despite of it's length it's pretty clever game with gameplay that has potential!

Interesting idea, my first time through I didn't understand the growing mechanic and got to the end without much difficulty. My second time through I let the clock countdown and saw how the growth mechanic would prevent you from proceeding if you didn't escape in time. I think that's a great idea, but I feel like most people will get through each screen without realizing the puzzle aspect. If you continue working on this, I think finding a way to start the player off at the large size so they HAVE to collect a potion before they can squeeze through a gap would go a long way. But those are minor complaints - it's Ludum Dare and we all realize how time constraints get in the way.

The art was nice and clean. Simple and effective animations (even the extra frames for the poison/water). The music was minimal but fit the tone well.

Cool concept! But yeah, I agree with the others that it's a bit short and easy and since there are so many potions the player doesn't really feel the pressure.

At the moment, these two parts of the levels can easily be ignored because the player doesn't need these potions to still be able to progress.

You could remove some of the ones that are easier to reach (e.g. the ones that are unavoidable) to force players to make these detours. And more needed detours coupled with a shorter amount of potions could result in more pressure.

The art and music are awesome btw :D

Solid concept with a fun premise. The movement is particularly smooth and fluid, which I appreciate. All the artwork pops. The background music works too, particularly given the premise. Good job!

Aesthetically this one is quite good. Good visuals, there isn't much to it length wise or challenge wise though.

Graphics are really nice and the concept of a growing/shrinking character is fun. Making the timer a little shorter, say about 2 minutes, would work better if you keep the game this length.

Wow! The game is so wonderful! Keep making games!
but the game has 1 BUT. the BUT is: the main character is too big. If you solve this problem, the game will be more interesting!

Hey! good job on this game, fits the Theme pretty well. I like the basic idea/concept. For sure, the level is pretty short and a bit too easy, but i can see where this is going. I could also imagine to have several paths in a level and when you grow too big you have to take an alternative route.

The gameconcept is really smart! Simple, but very efficient. I really liked what I saw (love pixel art graphics), but it was really (too!) short - my run lasted less than a minute!
It's a good start for more level design though. Well done!

It's a nice idea for a mechanic, and the graphics are lovely. As everyone's said, it's too short to really explore the mechanic - I got through it the first time without even realising that I was getting bigger, or that the potions were shrinking me. The first screen's exit requires you to be small enough to get through it, but you can't actually see that - so on my second play through as I got bigger, I was just stuck on the first screen.

With some more levels, this could be really fun.

Very good game but too short. The game finish just when I began to take the physics and game concept in hand 😭.

Good work for a solo entry! Would have liked more levels to further showcase the shrinking mechanics and higher difficulty, but other than that not much to note. Graphics and audio were nice, the idea was inline with the theme and there weren't any significant bugs. Solid work overall, keep it up.
