A fellow Ovani Sound enthusiast, I got 383 kwakt and wow was it frenetic. Awesome design and it took me a second to realize the criticality of crackers 

I made it up to over 500 gold at the end of a round. Absolutely horrifying, would play again.

 The perfect mix of crazy fun and horror, keeping me on the edge of my seat with each round. I played several times trying to beat my previous score - absolutely addictive! 💪 The graphics are fantastic and the design is top notch. Those pesky ducks definitely add to the challenge! @broheartttv We also used their music in LD 55, so far they seem to always have something that really fits for the mood we're going for. I think all the source files for sound effects except for the duck quack came from Ovani's Audio Arcade pack they had on Humble Bundle a while back. I mixed a few of the sounds and added effects in fmod to craft the sound I wanted. It was the first time I used fmod, so I didn't use Ovani's Unity plugin, I just manually set the loop region for the music and it came out great.

@wouter52 I did enjoy yours. I realize I forgot to leave a comment, so I went and did that real quick. Yours was the second game I played and I was just elated that I got my web build working after 2 hours of extra work and forgot to comment.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to mention The Duck Song... I wondered if people even remembered it.

@wouter52 I play the games made by people I follow first. I looked back through your library, and LD 52 was the first game of yours I played, I remember really enjoying that one. But I didn't follow you until sometime after LD 53, so I missed your LD 53 entry.

This one got me hooked for many rounds. I ended up filling everything with traps, but even then, smashing ducks with the hammer was still the most satisfying part.


Now THIS is how you make a gamejam game.
It's stupid funny, straight to the point and simple to understand.
I spent way too much time trying to get a high score.

Satisfying to smash those lil pond puppies right before they succeed at getting at graping you and make their victory quack. Good use of "lite/like" mechanic by carrying over coins - keeps you playing. Great work!

Look. I'm a man who loves his grapes. I won't apologise for that. And yes, yes I _did_ smash literally thousands of ducklings to death with a giant hammer just to protect my single bowl of grapes. I admit it. And you know what... I don't regret a single thing. Those little duckers were after my grapes! MY GRAPES!

Also... great game! Really fun and well made. Perfect balance of cute and unhinged. Great work!

What did I just play? I can't deny it, it's fun to absolutely wreck havok on the duckies! Nice entry. It could be cool to be able to upgrade the hammer in order to make it even more fun to squish ducks!

@raivk We had plans for unlocking more weapons, but we didn't have enough time to get any of that in.

Something about this is really juicy and addictive. It's very frantic, but I think this makes it pretty fun.

I was giggling playing this. I eventually got to the point where every tile was filled with spike traps, and felt really bad for murdering so many ducks.

It was a bit sad for me seeing all the ducks die so not really my style but liked gameplay.
