The art is nice and I enjoyed the music. The indicators above the cages are helpful, but it wasn't clear what my upgrades would do or when I would get more hamsters. I upgraded my water and then ran out of money until my hamsters died. Good stuff!

This was quite cool. Loved the art! Was kind of unsure what the upgrades did, and then had all my hamsters die while running around trying to get food hahaha

Thank you for your submission!

I really enjoyed the animations in the hamster cage—watching everything scurry around was a lot of fun! The music is also well-chosen and adds to the atmosphere.

It would be great if the player could move a bit faster or have a sprint option. Also, making the intro on the PC skippable would be a nice improvement, as it got a bit frustrating having to click through all the text again when pressing "E" on the PC while exploring.

Aesthetically pleasing, all be it a bit confusing and brutal of a learning curve. Good game!

Cute game! I wish there was some sort of way to increase the character's speed, like an Overcook dash or something similar. My hamsters are dying yet the character is in no hurry to save them. I would also suggest having a difficulty curve that makes it easy at the beginning, I found it a lot to handle when starting the game.

Overall the aesthetics were on point and I loved the vibe. The graphics were nicely draw and the music sounded nice. Great job!

After this game I was afraid to have hamsters... But seriously, I liked your game, it's quite cute and fun. I especially liked the ending with the hamster count. I think it would be possible to somehow increase the hitboxes of bushes and projectiles. in my haste I very often missed them.

Cool game. A few comments: it would be nice to have a display to show how many hamsters there are in each cage instead of having to interact with the cage... and on the same note, the only way to know how many (as far as I could tell) was clicking to sell, but I didn't find any option on the menus to go "back", so sometimes I was forced to sell hamsters... I really like the way the needs bubbles increase in size, alpha and have little lines that blink when it becomes critical! Great job :)

95 hamsters have found a loving home :D

Gameplay loop is nice and it feels good to get the upgrades. It's nice to see the different animations in the cages, you can see it overcrowding and whatnot. I found the early game to be somewhat brutal, my first playthrough I was taking my time. The first few upgrades are really critical.

For movement, it'd be nice if you could move diagonally as well as in cardinal directions, I find that to be a little more natural and fun. Music was very peaceful

I see it's your second game jam together! I hope to see more from you in the future, especially with the hamster-in-cages art. The music is nicely crafted and really adds to the overall 'game feel.'

Just a quick tip: consider making a web build so everyone can easily play it. This will increase the likelihood of people playing and rating your games.

I liked the art, but, playing on a 2k monitor I had big scaling issues with the UI and viewport. As it is a Godot game you should probably enable 2d scaling, probably set to Viewport (Canvas Items works as well).

The music was good, and fit the game. Speaking of, the gameplay loop was sufficiently engaging, and kept me playing for quite a bit more than I initially thought I would.

Very funky entry!

Cool game, very viby, feels like the kind of thing I could just play casually while chatting over discord and suddenly I've sunk 6 hours into my hamster army :hamster:
