Tiny Boids by OccamsLaser

The game ends the screen with the scoring on the 7th level
This is a short game about playing as flocking simulating Boids, in the classic computer graphics sense (https://www.red3d.com/cwr/boids/). Quite rough due to learning Raylib on the fly, this being my first game jam in years, and my first LD entry. I still think there is some fun and charm to be had.
Writing and level design were done with help from my friend Alien.

I did struggle between the green and blue colours initially and I don't have any sight issues, so could be something to think about in future.
I liked how you had to make a choice as to which ships could be saved and how the control you had over them wasn't as strong later on, good job!
There is also an invisible exit where there was one in the last game, and you can take the boids down it and crash the game, if you want a super secret ending, I suppose.
This was done entirely for the blue/green coded level, since otherwise some of the blues would want to stay with some of the lagging greens because of flocking as the other color hits the wall and stays behind. But it does have the effect of making the flock less strong. It could have been cool to explore more of the flocking parameters/mechanics, but just didn't have the ideas or time, so it's cool at least a little ended up in there.
And yeah, the blue/green contrast is not great and wasn't particularly well thought out. I kind of like how they look at least a little bit similar, but I would have liked to do some kind of effects to make them look more independent. Maybe I could have given some outlines.
