Colobox by CrishNate

[raw]
made by CrishNate for Ludum Dare 56 (COMPO)

ScreenShot00003.png

In this game your goal is to build an economy envolving this little guys called Colobox's, they are great but only in one thing each. (Green pickup, Blue walk, Red shoot) but what makes them good, that they can be attached together, so its up to you to make the best from their unique abilities.

[There is no global goal in the game, just expansion and survival. I was curious to develop base building game without bases, and main focus for the game to develop different creatures that cooperate with each-other like one big system]

WASD - Camera!

Middle mouse - Rotate camera

Left click - select region;

Right click - command move;

Shift + Right click - command patrol point (you must click it several places to make colobox patrol some region);

Right hold - pickup Colobox;

@sdcorpse There is no current goal yet, just to expand. But since expanding is limited by map size and minimal variety of components, you have no feeling of the expansion.

I wish there was a bit more to this game, but good entry!

Very fun to just mess around with. I love the wonky physics of attaching them together and trying to make them walk. I would love to see a hyper optimized speedrun to see the crazy combinations of attaching the creatures together

This was fun to toy around with for a little bit - but definitely needs to be expanded on a bit more.

I could see this being really fun in the future!

Pretty creative and ambitious for a compo game. I like the way the creatures connect, allows for some unique gameplay - just wish the red ones would shoot automatically.

@kadokta Thanks! That's interasting, because they do actually shoot automatically. But okey, it seems there is something bugged out
