Lovely concept and works very well! The small range at which the swarm begins to follow the mouse made it hard to cover longer distances but overall very impressive!

I really like your swarm mechanics ! You should add a way to split a group to do some prong type attacks :) It would be nice if we could select a group of cells instead of having them to follow the mouse, it would allow us to use more advanced strategies :)

An innovative game. Once I got used to the controls and the unit types, it was a lot of fun. It seems the key is to “dig a hole” into the enemy swarms, as below.

I agree with @rpgwanderer that more conventional movement (select a group, send it somewhere) would better though, the slow mouse moving and having some bacteria stay behind is a bit tedious.

Really cool! I love the sense of scale the game gives you, being able to zoom out so far really makes the units feel tiny

such a cool idea, we don't see many if any at all, RTS style games come out of jams so bravo, wish the collectors spawned new troops a bit faster

Interesting game. It took me a little while to at all understand which were my critters and to figure out the controls. Perhaps there could have been a UI element showing the area of influence around the mouse and also perhaps some reaction from my units when I was too far... I also wish there was some strategy in zooming in and out. Gaining larger area of influence for mouse when being zoomed out for example.

I must admit though, that I found it quite tedious slowly guiding the little critters. I got to the third or fourth level.

Pretty fun game! I figured out you can just press all the buttons to make them form a super dense group and just sweep the enemies pretty fast with hit and run attacks I beat the game! As other mentioned the follow distance for the cursor felt a bit short and since you can command each group separately making it a bit bigger would be a nice to have. Loved the game would definitely play some more if you continued!

Nice concept. I tried to create something similar during this edition, but it didn't work out, so I made something simpler. The only thing I would change is the way the colony is controlled; it's really exhausting. Maybe something like unit control from RTS games?

I enjoyed it. Definitely different that so many entries (and yay for more RTS's). The mouse controls were very unusual (why not use right button instead of left button since middle is same as wheel) and I do wish there was some visual indication of your area of effect.

Great implementation of theme, the sense of scale is great. Moving the groups by making them following the mouse is a bit tedious while you transport your units, but I do like how you have control over how the units fight.

Good concept and good implementation. I like the simple mechanic of the magnetic cursor to pull units based on key press. You kept it simple but added a few unit types for interesting game play. Simple graphics and a few sound effects added to this game rather than taking anything away. Great work.

I've been wanting to make a game with swarm mechanics for years, and never got to it, but now at least I got to play it! :) I really liked the strategic component and the fact that this entry feels quite unique. One thing that I felt could be improved a little bit was the pacing: the gameplay felt a bit slow at times, especially when you accidentally lost part of your swarm because you moved the mouse too fast. But I get that there needs to be some balance to the allowed speed / range of the attraction to the cursor. Overall, well done! :)
