good idea! reminds me of carcassone board game.wish tiles were more different, now it is hard to pick. and also it is hard to predict where mouse goes

Really fun concept, wish there was a way to zoom out a bit so as to see the board better however.

@hangovergames yeah, I used way too much randomizers. For the path finding and the tiles spawning in the hotbar. there is even a small chance that the 9 initial tiles are closed entirly at the beginning 😅

@jacobloon thank you. I tested it on the phone. there it is awfully zoomed out :D

Interesting concept! And I think there should be more choices of tiles, it is not easy to connect the tiles when the map extends in the left hand side

Really creative.
The mouse seems to like the maze though, as it often saved me by not just walking out when it could :D

Great gameplay, hope to add higher difficulty and more diverse game mechanics

The randomness of the mouse movement makes it a good challenge! Whenever it would get close to a place on the map where there was no tile I would start to get a little frantic trying to get one that would fit there haha

Really cool entry!

I'm a sucker for path-switching type games and played this for ages: but yeah, when the rng gods don't smile it feels really unfair (I have exactly the same issue with my submission).

It would be good if the mouse had a "destination" it was moving towards so you could try to build vaguely towards it, and also some mechanic to change pieces: like, maybe random other tiny creatures spawn in the maze, clicking them re-rolls your pieces. An ability to move an existing piece (so you can save your ass now, but the built maze will be hard to repair if the mouse back-tracks)... Lots of places to go with this game!

My only artistic criticism is that the music felt a bit somber for the vibe: feels like it should be tad more upbeat. But that's nitpick... great game!

really cool idea! I wish there were ways to influence the tiles that you get because sometimes you just don't get what you need, but still fun anyways!

The mouse never left the starting area for me :(

Okay, this is an interesting game. I've played this game a lot and it's fun.

Sometimes the mouse seems to only move in certain areas and nothing else. The mouse hardly escapes from those cells. A better option is that the mouse chooses the fastest path to freedom.

Anyway, this game is cool. Good job!

Well, now whe ain't gonna escape

Placing tiles that connect to no other makes the game fairly easy as you can just dump the ones you're not interested into. Without using that, it's a nice challenge, but sometimes a bit frustrating, because sometimes you just don't have any piece that can fit where the mouse is about to go. The randomness of the movement can also put you in a situation of the mouse just repeat the same movements and you're not in danger at all, while sometimes she rushes to the end.

Anyway, the game is still pretty cool, and you can be proud of what you've done :)

Really cool idea! The sound effect when you place a tile is super satisfying

I like the idea you've got here, very unique and interesting. I think with the way it plays out, it's really hard to feel the game aspect of it, since the mouse doesn't try very hard to escape, and what I can do seems glued to the mouse's perspective, so I can't build out the maze any further out that I can see on one screen (which is quite zoomed in.) However, this idea of playing against this AI agent trying to escape, and you frantically attempt to keep it confused and lost is really neat. I don't know if you ever plan on revisiting this, but there's def something new in here that could be really a ton of fun.

Great jam game, love how creative you were with your idea.

Cool puzzle game! The mouse sometimes seems to get stuck and loop around in place for a while, but it's a really neat idea
