Welcome to Shrunken Adventures

Shrunken Adventures is a platforming adventure game about an ambitious scientist. He successfully shrinks himself to the size of a microscopic organism, but there's a catch-- his Shrinkinator machine breaks! Stranded in a tiny realm, he must enlist the help of the local creatures to find his missing Shrinkinator pieces and repair his machine.

While we are very proud of what we were able to accomplish, we were not able to complete the entire scope of what we had planned. The core mechanics and story of the game are in, but we did not have time to create music, sound effects, textures for the land, and the other three areas.

Stay tuned for future levels that enlist the abilities of all the creatures to solve exciting platforming puzzles!

If you have any comments or suggestions for the full game, let us know in the comments!

I got stuck at the bottom of the level unfortunately. Looks fun to play if I knew where to go.

Really like the direction of the art style on this. I know some things weren't finished but the backgrounds were great and the little pink bunny was a delight to come across. Couldn't play for too long as I was starting to get a bit motion sick from the locked camera, but very cute nice job getting something together!

I think it's cool that you added a story to it, although I couldn't read it all because the text was not wrapping in the container and it overflowd. Physics are a bit janky. The background is cool, but I whished it was easier to differentiate it from the plataforms. Good job for your second entry in LD!

Doesn't seem to work embedded. Maybe that's an ldjam issue.
Weirdly long load time. I think a bug keeps it stuck at 20%.

Moving on hills sometimes gets a little hard to do, that said, i like the idea of using all the different creatures. Too bad it's not more finished, but nice work!

Props for chasing after all of the mechanics and for telling a story. I was surprised to be able to switch characters. The background effect was interesting.

@eranot Thank you! Would you mind telling me what OS/browser you were using? I have not come across that issue before

@trogdor-20x6 yeah, I was having a hard time getting it to work here, but it should work fine on itch.io!

@eerongal yeah, some of the physics need some tweaking for sure but thank you!

@bloodfin @tompendergrass Thank you so much!

My character was getting stuck on the slope at the start, eventually got past it, but then got stuck at the base of the map. Liked the mood and dialogue, unfortunate i couldn't progress further.

Ayy we had similar concepts - your game could be a sequel to my game!!

good game however movement was difficult i think it was the jump. there wasn't any momentum. overall i liked the plot

Cute little game. I think the jumping physics could have used a little tuning to make it less annoying.
I liked the hand-paintedish-pixels effect on the background image.

I think you did a pretty nice job, this was a good experience for you and for us, we are waiting for the next projects!

It was very nice, though some platforms were hard to see.

Ah, a tiny little scientist stuck in microbe land, such a funny and cute little story! I think that in an updated version, I would love to be able to jump with more freedom and also have a bit more cues as to where to go. The thrill of platforming was a bit lost to having the character be really rigid, and also I wasn't sure if my jumps were getting me to the objectives.
