Goober Goblins: A Nose Picking Simulator by Cam Moore

The tiny goober goblins are at it again!

Don't just standby while these little goobers pick their way to your brain and eat your thoughts. Its time to stand up, or pick, and remove those nasty buggers from your nose hole!

Use the mouse to point and click where you want to prod. Its my suggestion that you go for the big one. When your finger gets too boogery, wipe that bad boy off on your shirt with 'W'.

Sometimes you get that tickle and you have a sneeze ready. When the prompt comes up, press Spacebar to get rid of all the little creatures and clear your way for the BIG GOOBY.

Hurry! Get him before he breaks the wall to your juicy brain!

Press Esc at anytime to exit.

TL/DR Controls: Mouse - Aim ||| Left Click - Pick ||| W - Wipe Finger ||| Spacebar - Sneeze

The animation is fantastic and the music and sound effects really enhance the experience! 🎶 It gave me major Little Big Planet vibes with its quirky humor and charming art style. The gameplay was a bit short, but it was a lot of fun at the time! 🎉 I loved the challenge of not letting those little goblin goblins get to my brain! Overall, a delightful and entertaining experience – great job team! Keep up the good work! 👏

I really liked the design of the little goblins and the flow of the game, with all the different interactions. It was very cool to play.

It's so silly, I love it. Music is simple but effective, the game is short so the repetitiveness is not a problem. I managed to kill big goblin when I had around 1-2s left on the timer, but after killing him the game was still running for a while and I lost anyway :c Also, the aiming seems kinda weird, the finger moves so slowly that there's really no point in trying to aim, because the small goblins can just jump in any moment.

Hahaha! How did you ever come up with this idea. The game is simple yet fun, especially cuz the humor! There's even strategy with the finger wiping and waiting for the sneeze. Music and art really worked together with the game's main idea and mood. Overall, excellent job!

@lisek-gagatek Gah darn it good catch on the time bug. That cut it close. We will still count it as a win. And ya the aiming has very slight skill to it. You can time it some but when the screen gets so filled thats when the sneeze comes in handy. Thanks for playing.

What a great but gross game, fantastic concept and a well rounded game. Took a few attempts to win, but finally got there. Love the fail/wain screens too

That was tricker than I thought it would be, probably took me about 5 or 6 attempts to win :sweat_smile: It took me a while to realise what the wiping mechanic was for.

Thoroughly disgusting game too, the art was really well done and made me gag xD Very unique entry, now I can gamify my nose picking

Nice silly game :smile:
The art style goes well with the theme of the game, and the sound effects really makes the experience better. Not sure if it was pure luck, but I won first try mainly by spamming. It would have been cool to have more level with progressive difficulty :)

In my opinion, the idea is very amusing and fits the theme well, but the gameplay is a bit unbalanced. The gameplay needs a little improvement in terms of balance. Overall, the game is great, you did a good job.

Absolutely loved the pixel art for the win / loose screens. The goblins were possible the weakest of the art but good enough for a game jam for sure. Found the game to be either super easy or too difficult. Was super easy when I just aimed as low as I could and it seemed to dodge the goblins most of the time.

Was fun and didn't try to overstay its welcome which was nice. :thumbsup:

OMG. Once I realized what was going on story-wise I laughed out loud. (When the finger came in). Great job with the tiny creatures theme. It did feel a little repetitive and I felt like it was a real gamble whether I would hit a tiny creature or not, but I wasn't sure how to totally avoid them when there were so many at once.

@jonathandavidlewis Ya there is some technique when the number isnt at max, and my advice would be when the screen gets full, wipe the finger and sneeze right after so you can get a few clear shots in. But dont tell anyone else its a secret XD Thank you for playing!

Rather gross. Can be pretty difficult to hit your target when they've got half their backup.
