  1. You control a creature called Hermitiny. You can use shells to collect corals around you and use them to strengthen the bubbles you fire to defeat the enemy.

  2. Corals can only be adjacent to your structure.

  3. Corals have three types that counter each other.

  4. The number of bubbles fired is equal to the total number of corals in the same row

  5. If the coral's HP reaches 0 or it is disconnected from the Hermitiny, it will be destroyed.

  6. Don't forget to pay attention to your endurance, you will fail if all endurance is consumed!

  7. Golden coral can provide you with more shells.

(if we don't have enough time, use this cover first!), this is so charming to me. We also had art and backup art in our game and it didn't all make it in in time lol.

Getting into the game itself, I love the coral concept, love building onto the coral, that you included the complexity of types, and that it feels almost like a turn-based brick-breaker in how the gameplay flows.

This is a really good game and I would put more time into it beyond the jam! The upgrades in between rounds felt great too. Also hovering over the corals should show me some information so I can make more informed decisions on placement, I figured it out from the hovers after they are placed but that would be nice.

I fucked up bad in level 5 and would have liked to restart a few rounds earlier than I was forced to.

Also, sidenote a web build would help get more ratings in the future!

Great work guys, I loved this entry.

nice game, I like the strategy. I like the fact that you planned on not having enough time. Good work, you made it work first.

That was a lot of fun! I struggled a bit on the Bermuda level as I couldn't see the enemy hermitiny, but it was still fun as I tried to discern what type of corals it might have based on which of my corals were dying. I didn't expect the coral structure to persist between rounds, and it makes me want to go back and try a better build strategy!

This is a cool idea. I didn't catch at first that new corals had to be connected to the existing "reef". Made sense once I figured it out. I enjoyed it a lot.

@zhuub @tsaot @kirass @broheartttv @larrymartinjr Thanks for your like!!! Sorry for some bugs in several levels(eg. Bermuda), we are trying to fix and build a web version!

Overall the game is a really unique puzzle game! I think I would've liked better indicators on which coral I'm about to create (e.g. highlighting the coral on the left). I also wish there was the ability to edit the blocks I put down this turn (in case the player makes a mistake during their turn and would like to undo it).

A lot of puzzle games this time around from what I've seen, and this one is among the best I've seen!
As others have pointed out, some quality of life changes would be nice (highlighting corals is a major one) and fixing some bugs, but overall it was a very nice experience and very good for a jam game!

How do you pronounce "Hermitiny"? Love the strategy elements tho! My game jam game goes down the same strategy route.

Pretty fun game I got stuck on level 3 after I died and tried to replay but it didn't reset the enemies or my shells, after I died the second time, I was just gone lol! Aside from the issues you did a great job!

I liked the game, filling the area with corals is a lot of fun. It's a little bit weird that when you restart the game after losing, you don't start from scratch. Maybe it's too easy to cheese the game right now, with multiple restarts and a huge stockpile of shells.

Still, it's a lot of fun! Great job!
