Cool, the only thing missing is the ignition effect on the little people.

I didn't quite understand what I was supposed to do. I tried to burn the people but they moved to fast and the cursor was very precise making it difficult to focus on them. The sound effects got repetitive. The art style is nice but very plain. However, for only programing this in three days, great work. Keep making games and keep working hard.

There was some good polish and the art was fun, but I think it's missing a way to improve your magnifying glass or something. some sort of progression would be nice. Great work!

Fun little game, though enemies are progressing, but nothing is given to player to counter that, after certain point there is nothing player can do to stop the,.

While I do think the idea is good, I think it should killing and destroying buildings should be a lot faster, to make you feel more like a "god". Otherwise, you just get overwhelmed by the amount of enemies and the game stops being fun. The graphics are cute tho, love that cover art.

So that was mildly horrifying... in a strangely mesmerizing way. I wanted to light buildings and trees on fire which would then spread to other things/creatures.

Fun game! Good overall game flow. The game didn't overstay its welcome. I would have liked the magnifying glass to feel a bit stronger, but still fun regardless. Good work.

~~But I just wanted to burn 'em all why they killed me D:~~

Nice game with good pacing, but I feel that I don't have much of a control over situation. Like do my actions actually can stop them at least a bit? If so I don't feel it :(

@alxje it's not about its inevitableness (is there such word?) it's about that I as a player cannot even postpone it a bit to make may be a leaderboard. It feels my actions have almost no effect on the game

Really silly!! I love the art style and humor. All I would say to fix, is probably a bigger magnifying glass (unless you can get that and I'm just really silly)!!!

The positives:
- Really fun game. The gameplay idea of burning little creatures with the magnifying glass is a great combo of something everyone knows, but no one has made a game about
- I felt there was a lot of personality in the game, from the sound design to the aesthetics
- The choice to do a paper cutout style of art was really really smart. I really felt like I was holding a magnifying glass interacting with little magical paper people. Plus it made the art style pop
- Addicting gameplay loop

What could be improved:
- after a few seconds I got the hang of it, but it felt weird that to hit the paper people with the light you actually want to shine it at their feet, not on them directly
- It was unclear if I was really doing the right thing. Checking afterwards I saw that the bar at the top was something I didnt want to fill up, but it was the only thing I could make increase. Maybe some kind of score to show that burning the people was the right thing to do?
- Honestly, having all of the little paper people spawning like crazy was something that turned on the ole dopamine. it sucks that you dont want that to happen, I wish there was some reward for letting them spawn faster.
- The gameplay was fun, but very static. It takes a long time to kill the paper people, and I wish there was some way to speed it up to keep up with the increased pace, or maybe increase the size of the hit area to kill more at once.
- I wasnt really sure if burning down the buildings was something I was supposed to be doing or not. I get now that they use them to hide, but it would have been nice to have some more concrete feedback

So far, the best visual style that I've seen on this ld. And the design of the page on itch is worth praising. And I also thought that our game was cruel, but you surpassed us in this.

The idea of burning little people with a magnifying glass and sunlight is super cool! We use a similar concept in our game. I really love the paper-style design - it looks great! Watching the little people build houses and grow is so fun. I think your game has tons of potential for future development.

I think the concept is logical, the artistic style felt very authentic, and the expressions of the little creatures are amazing—they have a lot of personality! However, I didn't feel as much impact from the gameplay. I believe that adding a couple of mechanics could greatly improve the game feel and, especially, add more dynamics. Great job!

Cool idea, the art, music and sfx really fits well, but the game play is quite boring, I wish there can be a range explosion or sth when the big structure gets burnt, that would make the game much more fun

Pretty cool take on the theme. I love the idea of burning things with a magnifying glass. A fire/ignition effect, and perhaps even that fire spreading to other paper creatures would have been fun. Props to your team for submitting a solid entry!

The original gameplay concept drew me in, and I found the graphics cute and in keeping with the theme.
The only thing is, I felt the concept hadn't been exploited “enough”:
- I couldn't move the magnifying glass up (but maybe it was intended that it couldn't move down?), which made the gameplay a bit static.
- On higher levels, for example, I couldn't get several targets to burn at the same time (combo), even when they were close together.
- I also expected the fire to spread to the nearest targets, but I don't get the impression that this isn't possible.
- I found that it took a long time to burn the targets (and the buildings, even longer!).

As a result, the more things there are to burn (tiny creatures or buildings), the less I feel I can win or turn the game around.

I really think this game would be a lot more fun with small improvements, because the game concept is sooo good!

Very cool game! The graphics and sound are awesome, though the 3D floor looks a bit weird.

The gameplay quickly feels stale though. You just end up following these creatures with your mouse. With some variation this game could get quite addicting! Something like lingering flames on the ground or multiple focus points, just as quick ideas :)

The game is interesting. Music is very fun and it is going well with the game itself. The idea is good but I feel that something is missing. Little people are moving a bit fast and I do not understand what the buildings do. Also, score system would be nice. And I like the art, simple and cute.

Well, let's be honest, the gameplay is very very very static, or as it would be more correct to say, but the style and the picture itself are cool. And I would like to speak separately about the music and sounds......... they are bad, to put it mildly, personally I was drowned out by every death of the little chelipizdriks

Pretty cool game, i just wish there was a little bit more too it.
Some kind of upgrades for the magnifying glass would have been good, or maybe needing to get the right angle to get more power.
At the later stages when people rapidly pop in, it was very satisfying but then immediately frustrating i couldn't burn them fast enough.
Overall a fun use of the theme and a good entry.

Game was a cool concept and I loved the art style but I feel the game becomes too hectic. I feel it would benefit from the player/magnifying glass having some form of upgrade in order to balance the game, but overall it was an interesting game.

I like the idea of the plot and the game, it looks very unusual and interesting. The gameplay is a bit boring and I would like a variety, but it also looks good. The graphics are cute and pleasant, made very high quality, it is interesting to look at the details of the drawings. The game itself is fun and cute, the sound effects are also cool

HAHAHAHA!
A very creative idea!

A great way to unleash your sadistic side (without hurting anyone).

This could become something much bigger in the future.

The only complaint: At a certain point the tiny creatures spawn becomes humanly impossible to keep up with. A tweak to this calculation and everything will be perfect.

Congratulations!

The visual style is very cute! I wanted them to light on fire and spread the fire to others. Ideally they would spread the inferno to the neighborhood and they can burn the whole city down.

Cool art style! The 2.5D scene is an interesting and creative touch.

I did find myself wishing for more actions to perform in the game. Perhaps adding the ability to upgrade my magnifier or introducing unique abilities could bring more excitement and allow for a bit more chaos.

This was an interesting game! I think you did a great job with the mechanics. I really like the concept of death being certain but you can delay it. It was super clear to me which strategy would be the best, though. I think with some refinement that could become easier for the player. Overall, nice work!

Really interesting game, playing with the perspective of using a magnifying glass to burn tiny people was a really interesting idea to make something 2.5D, if anything I would have liked something to also compete with how fast they were resisting after level 1
