I love this game!

Always great to have a online leaderboard in a jam game. The idea is very simple however its very well executed.

Small yet very compact game. I like the fact that the scoring has multiple variables to it. Good work getting the leaderboard in as well. The game has a very funky feel.

Initially I thought you could eat any bug on the screen but it seems there is a range involved?

A very solid and polished game! Had a lot of "ok one more try" moments when I wanted to reach a certain score. And then I learned that that isn't even half of the current top highscore :D

It's got good amount of polish and I think it's a neat idea! I wish the hitbox for getting the bugs was more forgiving though, since you are moving and it makes it difficult to click on the target. This reminded me of those games where you were launched and needed to be in the air as much as possible to get the best score. Maybe the tongue could've been used to achieve that? All in all a rly good take on the theme!

Fun little game. No idea how someone managed to get 200k points though. It would have been nice if there was a restart button, for when you know you're gonna get a bad score and want to finish it early. Sometimes I feel like my click doesn't register, and I'm not sure why. Would've been nice if there was a bit more feedback as to why the click failed. The aren't isn't great, but I like how the frog looks. Good job!

@sheepolution, I watched the score attempts pour in for the top scorer during a day. It turns out, someone in South Korea spent the entire day grinding out the scores, leaving my table filled with over 300 records :exclamation: And this was just before launch, so I tidied up the list a bit, but left them the top spot. Others tried large attempts as well, getting close but not beating it. There's a decent bonus when a perfect jump is performed, and I think the performance varies per machine (smooth on my desktop, choppy on my old laptop)

Nice! I appreciate the short play cycle. Even though I'm worn out from playing a bunch of games that require a lot of clicking, the clicking in this game makes sense and is more strategic, less spammy.

Nice fun and simple game, couldnt beat 20th place though.

It was ok, until I saw my score on the leaderboards and wanted to climb a little higher, definitely pulls you in.

At first I also thought that it might be one of those keep yourself in the air and you will be spider-man swinging with the frogs tongue to gain distance.

I wonder if it would be better if the tongue would have a cooldown and would go a set distance when clicked so you don't have to spam click so much and think a little bit of how to get the good ones.

Simple and fun, leaderboard definitely hooked me a bit longer and works great for this kind of game. Frog sprite is great lol.

@ategon Sure, feel free to use any gameplay footage you like! The game got some attention on a korean stream, and many tool assisted runs popped up.

I clean up the database once the scores get ridiculous, so that Ludum Dare participants can still compare some of their runs. I can have the table ready for a fresh start during the event, so some nice competitive numbers pop up :smile:

Short and fun, you could polish it more and it would feel very great! Good job.

It's super hectic to try to hit those flies while the frog is in the air. It's a great concept and the presentation is cute. Sadly I did not end up on the leaderboards 😅.
