[raw]
made by maruvihane for Ludum Dare 56 (JAM)

You are an ant who is being chased by anteaters named Sleepyhead, Mr. Cap, DRIP and George.keelsuust-pixilart.png You have to escape through a maze to freedom. You gain score points by how fast and how far you get. To get through the maze you will sometimes need to use doors. You have to go over a button for the door to open. Button:nupp.png Door opening: uks_vertical1.png The overall maze is made from leaflike blocks and various difficulty passages. mängujooks.png there are special wallblocks which you can actually pass through, they are distinguishable by a red dot in the middle. NoCollisionPlokk300x300.png The anteaters are constantly chasing you. The map moves ahead at a pretty much constant speed. Except, if you pass an imaginary red line on the screen, the anteaters will chase you faster for a moment. Until your ant character is back at the middle of the screen.speedexamp.png If the anteaters do catch you, the game ends. You see your score and have the chance to quit or try again. The game does have an ending, if you truly finish the maze and escape the anteaters you get a prize.

Those ant eaters are looking fly!
Fun little game, had a nice intensity to it that got me pretty invested, i do wish there was a bit more variety as the level went on.
I think a different sprite would have been great for the tiles you could pass through, just like a dirt passage or something similar, the red dot wasn't the easiest to see and thematically would have been nice to have something else in.
The timer felt a bit unnecessary as I was constrained by the camera so I couldn't go faster. It made me think for a while that it was just survive as long as possible, eventually you had the half way point which confirmed there was an ending.
Overall a fun game with the music adding a lot to the intensity.

Love the concept and the gameplay, but there may need more improvements on the art style, cause as a pixel art game, in my opinion having the pixels in the same size would be better.
