Tiny Game Hunting Holiday by Antti Haavikko

Who doesn't enjoy a nice, relaxing holiday? Picture a full week of "me-time," strolling through the desolate landscapes of Europe, tracking and hunting the deadliest of creatures. These beings might be small, but don't let that fool you into thinking they're cute or harmless. Quite the opposite, in fact. These monstrosities are deadly vermin, spreading famine and pestilence wherever they roam.
In this game, you fly around uncharted Europe, searching for prey to hunt. You track these critters by navigating to the correct location, which could be a country or city with specific letters in its name. So, having solid geographic knowledge is the key here. And you'll learn even more of it in the process...
You'll also need to keep your plane's fuel tank topped up to avoid being stranded in some remote area. Earn money by selling the pelts of your prey, and use those funds to bribe embassies along the way, giving yourself an edge in the hunt.
The online leaderboard tracks how well you're doing against other players. Score as many points as possible by hunting as many targets as you can within the seven days you have to hunt. Don’t forget to amass a fortune—your money acts as a score multiplier every time you complete a task.
Prove yourself, and claim the top spot as the ultimate bacteria hunter of Europe!
Sorry to anyone from Liechtenstein, I seem to have replaced your capital with the nearby Zürich. 😶

It would help to have some explanation and eventually to be able to give up and reveal the solution and get a new task assigned. That way you won't even need that much of an explanation as it would be understandable just by playing some matches till the game "clicks".
Art and sound wise it's solid.
Really nicely made UI and the character's bouncy animations are super fun!! My lack of geography knowledge definitely was the hardest part of this game. Wish the map was labeled or at least had more lines between countries to help me get my bearings better! Felt confusing when I'd land in "Unknown lands" and not have a way to reveal what country I was in or where the borders were.
so the lore is an erasmus student getting IST during their college years, that's it?
A lot of congrats!!!!!!

The gameplay loop is fun, it would be cool if there were more different map-related puzzles, but for a game jam it's perfect.
I would prefer if there were more lose conditions other than fuel running out. But to be honest I can't think of any that won't drastically increase the scope of the game... Now the game ends abruptly when day 8 begins but it feels anticlimatic, I was just getting started exploring the map! 😁
But you are correct, fuel becomes a non-issue after you get the hang of the mechanics really and then you're just optimizing fuel/money usage for the allotted time. Of course there could be stuff like allowing buying an extension after the week is up if you have enough money or something. But I feel like extending it would be too much (at current state at least) as it already starts to get repetitive.
I didn't find anything...

and that's it.
Everything is so juicy and smooth in the typical Antti fashion. It's a fun idea and a joy to play! Only criticism I have is that sometimes the UI elements are a bit annoying popping up when I don't want them or text (like city names) are covered up by other things.
