I think there is a lot of potential!
Edit: I still keep clicking on the upgrades.
If I'm understanding the upgrade system its Sight Range, Dig Speed, and Move Speed. It feels like your testing the players ability to pick out an optimal upgrade path. I think you run the risk of people not choosing the correct path and having a frustrating time.
Congrats on the entry!
btw - it's strangely addictive. After leaving my review I felt I still needed to beat it so I did!
Kind of wish all the bugs didn't run away.. but also liked that it made the upgrade choices mean a bit more.
The base idea is good. Upgrades could be more effective and include a tooltip what they do to initially get going.
I wasn't a fan of the fleeing bugs, would have preferred if they at least fled a couple blocks away.
The controls felt little janky with the accidental diagonal movement.
Loved the music once I found it. Good job!
