If you had more time, you could definitely add some variation to the mechanics, either different actions for the raccoon or the humans, or maybe different stuff you need to find, but you've got a solid base.

I couldn't tell if the light made me more noticeable, but I did like that you could hide in the bushes to shake off a pursuer. That being said, the decision making was a bit binary: it was either do the minigame super fast while no people were around, or just wait until they patrolled past the trash can. It would have added some extra depth if we had to constantly put ourselves in riskier situations for each new level.
I also enjoyed the narration between each chapter - it was a nice touch! Great work!
PROFOUND
this game is really shiny though!
I only came across one issue during gameplay. While I ran away from one pursuer, I got him hooked on to a fellow citizen (and annoyingly they happened to be sitting on top of one of the trash cans!)
Aside from that minor issue which was resolved by letting them see me and chase me, I stuck around and finished the whole game - loving every moment of it and even felt a little emotion at the end.
All in all a brilliant entry! Love is cabbage <3
Anyway, very nice game, enjoyed it, as a goodbye, here's a sneaky lookout on the roof. Cheers! :)

It is almost impossible to be catched. It might be better if there were more enemyes like dogs which ran faster and u can hide behind bushes or on the tree or somewhere else)
Great work.
As for the music, it tended to stop prematurely at each lvl. As for the gameplay, stealth isn't my cup of tea, but I did find the little gauge amusing (also, the gameplay for pressing the right timing to search the garbage cans). In my opinion, it would be interesting to introduce a little more diversity in the mechanics, so that there's more progression between each lvl. I found that lvl 2 was longer and more boring than the others, because there were 12 shiny things to collect, and not necessarily enough threats on the big map (my main difficulty was finding the last garbage can I hadn't searched yet  ).
