Gnoccholini Droppotini by Dudum Lare

[raw]
made by Dudum Lare for Ludum Dare 57 (JAM)

Falling never tasted so good!

Dive into depths of a never-ending cave! The cave is filled with all sorts of dangerous obstacles, and it's your job to avoid them and survive as long as you can. Use the left and right arrow keys to dodge hazards, and switch between layers with the up and down keys to keep your precious gnocchi from being crushed!

The further you fall, the faster the pace gets. How long can you avoid the pitfalls and keep your gnocchi intact? The cave is endless, but your journey is as risky as it gets!

Will you become the ultimate Gnoccholini champion, or will the cave claim you? Let's get to the bottom of it! ;-P

A bit on the difficult side, but solid entry nonetheless. :)

Definitely the best title I've seen so far :D Easy concept, very difficult for me personally though, couldn't get past the first twenty-ish seconds. Great work though!

Liked the concept and Overall the art and music was nice even though the arms looked a bit odd. Also, the game ended a bit quickly for me to see what I had hit.

Ran into a bug in chrome where the player suddenly disappeared to the bottom during the start and when I tried scaling the window it broke the alignment of the game.

Nice! I love the layers mechanic, and the goofy hands on the gnocchi  I'd probably move the camera a bit further down so your character is at the top of the screen; that way you could see more of the upcoming obstacles. Other than that, this is a pretty solid and enjoyable entry. Well done!

You peeps are crazy to do this in plain html hahah! Congrats on your first jam! It's a bit on the difficult side. It plays differently on different resolutions and it's easy to break, but I guess that's the nature of this medium. The layer mechanic is interesting. Good job!

I agree with the preeceding - this is holy moly level threat to do this thing in those technologies. I had to try to break this as soon as I read html. Obviously I did not save this score. This is silly idea and I had a proper laugh about this - respect! This is the innovation contender :D I really admire your work guys! ![gnioki.png](///raw/ff1/46/z/6c6be.png)

I have a special place in my heart for carbs shaped like other carbs plunging into the depths, and I was not disappointed! I love the little flailing arms on the cute gnocchi, music was great and good difficulty. I almost got to 2 min on my best time, but not enough to make the leaderboard, oh well! I would have liked WASD as movement mode, and I think sometimes the Depth of Field up/down sometimes didn't trigger? Otherwise a fantastic and innovative entry!
