At first it really took me a while to understand where to go because you can't see the difference between the bottom and a platform, but once you get past that it's ok. Maybe give more information on how to use the respawn

Pretty intense! I managed to get two boots, the key and the bombs but then ran out of oxygen.

Very cool atmosphere, very creepy. I found one secret O2 room which excited me and made me look for other secrets!

I FOUND THE SECRET O2! That was pretty cool. I just fazed through the ground like in Metroid. I like the thematic music, it could definitely use some polish in the visual and audio categories, but I did like that it was consistent. (there's beauty in the simplicity) I would say that it feels a bit like a walking simulator in the beginning. Maybe if it got to the action faster it would hook more players in the beginning? Overall, well done!

this game gave me a feeling of animal well. superior level building. now lemme go spend another hour in it

Love the secret spots to find, especially since it mostly gives more time to explore the world! Really nice atmosphere created as well.

Nice game! my biggest complain is the physics, i mean it's probably intentional but such floaty jump wasn't to my liking (but that's a matter of taste). Nice entry, i love the mechanic with the flag and the exploration!


Is that a visual glitch to not be on top of the floor ?

There are a ton of nice mechanics, and we can sense that there are tons of mechanics to play around to discover. However, the controls are a bit too slow and slippery to be fully enjoyable. For ex., the umbrella is nice, but then every drop takes too long, and traversing the level again because you die from lava or such is quite painful

Map is actually huge, it was fun to explore!

Cool game! I love the atmosphere, it reminds me of old atari games. The exploration is quite fun, I just wish the character moved and fell faster.

I went right at first and thought, “Wow, putting lava right after one tile is brutal!” Then I came back and went left... 💀 Loved the metroidvania style — though it ran a bit long for my taste. I think adding a hint or some guidance for the main task would really help too.

WOW, this was way bigger than I expected it to be. Lots to unlock, a big ol' map to explore, great Metroidvania-esque exploration... Well done!

I love it, reminds me of old DOS platformers

Got some Captain Comic 1 vibes (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33VX9NvLf4s) I spent so many hours of my childhood playing that game! Loved the exploration vibes! I was kind of annoyed that I didn't have the ability to fall faster after I got the umbrella, it felt like everything took soooo long. I found two boots and was trying to figure out how to get the brown boot before I ran out of oxygen. I like that you c an place checkpoints wherever you want. I thought the bubbles should let me get oxygen from them! They're air bubbles! But anyway, this game was super impressive, especially given the fact that it's a compo entry! With time taken to refine the interaction/movement and to flesh out its puzzle-ness a bit more, I think this could be a great game.

It's a cute platformer! You definitely capture the retro feel very well. My only complains are that I think the writing at the beginning could be cleaned up a bit, and sometimes I would catch myself wishing the player's base speed was a tad bit faster. Other than that, I had fun. Good job!

Lovely atmosphere and the graphics reminded me of the good ol' days of gaming on the PC which is a wonderful vibe. Didn't expect the game to be as big as it was! Overall, really good stuff, enjoyed!

Fun and retro / Good job !! (those damn bubbles :')

I managed to finish it, but did not get any gems on my final attempt. It took me several attempts, and could really benefit from some quality of life stuff (like a minimap). The game as it is, is very punishing, but with some more time you could probably turn this into an engaging metroidvania.
