Awesome work! I love the art. Your main menu was hilarious. I want to know the lore behind this game. Who is this dude in a towel fighting sharks and goblins? I want more DeepSeak!!!

@the3rdhunter The character is inspired by traditional pearl divers in the Arabian Gulf (see image below). what they are wearing is called _Izaar_ and yes it's quite like a towel actually. Of course, pearl divers don't go diving with a spear and wearing a cap (_Taqiya_), AFAIK, but you could say I took some _artistic liberty_ there 👨‍🎨🥐✨. I actually made the main menu in the last hour when my brain was not braining; I didn't think anyone would find it funny.

I am really glad you liked the game, and hope you learned something.

Cute game, a little easy but who has time to balance for a Compo anyway? SFX were good (better than the mouth-noises I made for mine anyway ), no need for tutorialization because everything was clear, and I appreciate your lore deep dive in the other comments. Nice and simple!

red fish are more dangerous than underwater zombies with sticks and sharks, I didn't expect that:D
good game

Very fun and cute game! I liked the pixel art and enemy variety, and hated the red piranas! (in a good way :). Also the sound was funy and added to the atmosphere

The movement felt fluid, but the shooting a little less so. I wasn't sure what is the rate of fire, and it was hard to aim, so hitting something felt lucky sometimes

Still, very cool complete little game!

Fun little game that goes straight to the point and is easy to pick up, so I'm in! Red fish were hard to hit, until I figured out you need to get closer to them! Great compo entry!

@jeremyfa That is the risk/reward with them. If you're closer to them, sure they're easier to hit, but their attacks are harder to dodge

Really good game, I liked the art and the sounds. There were a few issues, enemies were going invisible and the fish that go up and down sometimes got stuck at the bottom (until their next attack) and I could not hit them.

@ellaris I was actually aware of these issues even before publishing, but I didn't have time to fix them. Maybe I will publish a post-jam version with all these fixes and improvements.

I had fun with this little game. Love the minimalist art style. The red fish is too hard lol. I know...skill issue. Well done!

A little game in the spirit of the game jam. The graphics and sounds are homemade: it's cool!
For my project, I thought about recording my voice, but I didn't have the time.

Nice job - this is really fun to play - tricky with those pesky sharks that lock onto you! haha

I really liked the non-nonsense gameplay. The controls were responsive and intuitive, and the objective was clear from the start. The variety of enemies was excellent and so was the artwork. My biggest complaint is that there weren't enough levels. Great work.
