Background

AI is changing the times. As an intelligent chatbot, you need to try your best to facilitate in-depth conversations with humans, improve users' favorability towards you, and make users willing to establish a deeper connection with you, so as to complete the mission of integrating into human society! On the contrary, if users feel out of sync with you many times during the chat, they will give up establishing a deeper connection with you.

With limited computing power, try to output replies that make users more satisfied!

(Be careful not to exhaust the computing power, causing users to only receive the "server busy" prompt!)

Core mechanism

Connected messages

Reply to users based on the length of the message sent by the user. If your reply can be perfectly connected with the user's message bubble, it will constitute a deep conversation and the user's favorability will increase. If there is no perfect connection, it will be judged as a good or bad match based on the deviation of the connection. If the deviation is too large, it will reduce the user's favorability.

Connected emotions (bonus)

In addition, the user's message will carry a specific emotion. Sending a reply that is consistent with the user's emotion will further improve the user's favorability.

How to play

After starting the game, according to the length of the text sent by the user, before the countdown ends, select any number of the 8 Kaomoji in the input panel, and try to find a way to perfectly match the message box sent by the user.

screenshot-3.png

When the favorability reaches 100, the happy end will be triggered. When the favorability drops to 0 or the computing power is exhausted, the bad end will be triggered.

WOW this is such a cool concept!!! This is by far the most unique concept I've seen in this jam so far! You all should be so proud!!!

Very unique idea for the gameplay, and really enjoyed the general vibe (with the cute art and the phone like interface). Great work!

Awesome minigame! Really unique take on the theme with the core mechanic and the artwork is reallty cute.

I'd love to see a tutorial level that eases you in the mechanic a bit before you play.

Nice submission! :D

Apparently I’m really bad at estimating message lengths 😅. Had my friend play it, and they managed it way better than me. Awesome game and a really unique idea!

A nice and very unique concept indeed, good sound design and VERY polished graphics (bonus points for cuteness) - but I wish there was more to it! More gimmicks like the connected emotions thing would be great too. High notes regardless, great job!

Interesting concept and rather fun to play, took me a few times to get the good ending  also pretty nice graphics / sfx

An interesting idea. I like the graphics and sounds.
I've finally reached a good ending! It wasn't very easy to estimate the length of the message :D
It would be nice if there were also adaptations for the computer screen. And, perhaps, a small tutorial is missing. Thanks for the gaming experience!

Unique Idea and cute theme! Admittedly I didn`t quite get that you could messages together, but once I got that it was quite fun to look for the right length.
Really nice effort!

It's an interesting game, I was confused at first, but I quickly realized what and how, but the idea is cool, and overall the game is made pleasantly.

I've never seen a game that puts you in place of the AI. I would love to see a more elaborate version of this on the App/Google play store. Very creative approach to the theme!

That was really fun! At first i thought i was supposed to reply emojis that made sense and then i realized it was about aligning bubbles, such a creative twist!

I really like the idea and the concept. It's easy to understand but really hard to master hahahaha Also, incredibly cute graphics. Good work q(≧▽≦q)!

Great game! I really liked how smoothly you introduce the rules — after just a couple of messages, you realize that you need to match them by length. The animation showing how much the lengths differ is a great idea; it instantly makes things clear.

The message texts are great too! I love that there are so many different emojis and weird symbols :)

I wasn't able to do it right not a single time ;-; even doing it for quite some time.
That said, i really think the game idea is quite funny. I loved so much the overal vibe, the music is absolutely cozy, really great. The art really evoque quite a deep feeling for me. It felt so nostalgic and warm. Really powerful entry, I really loved even though i couldn't estimate the lenght of a single message ;-; I could be trying it all day.

Great game, thank you for the game!

I have to say, this game wasn't made for me, I always felt super weird sending those huge composite ascii art emojis!

But I have to say, no joke, this is one of the most creative ideas I have ever seen in a game. Working depth as forming connections is witty, going with AIs is an intriguing concept and very modern, and definitely this is a gameplay I don't remember ever seeing before. I honestly suggest taking this idea forward, definitely is an intriguing concept, one which I very much enjoyed.

I loooove the concept of forming deep connections--as a deep learning neural network, no less--as an interpretation of "depths"! The gameplay was really challenging in the beginning, but I slowly started to get a feel for which ASCII art would fill the response area.

One critique: When put in full-screen, the UI didn't properly fit my display. This lack of responsiveness meant I had to play in windowed mode and constantly scroll up/down to compare the user prompt with my response which...added a certain level of challenge to the experience.

(''<oo>'')(**--**) - not sure what this means but the AI might.

Works really well - I found it really hard and never got any better at it haha :P

Very interesting idea. I did very badly on my first try and smashed it on my second.

This is incredibly creative! I took a long time to realize that I need to fit the length of the message, but once I did it became way better. It's quite hard to try and visualize the size of your message! Great art and twist on the theme!
