I seriously liked how you forwent punishing the gamer for getting hit and were just that much more gentle than the very games you reference. Also interesting aspect that you can complete the game with any character, even if just the main character is enough. Oh and that you used cues from the design of those games, like having more than one path for beating the stage, and how enemies and the scenario were laid out.\n\nOh and that easter egg with the suggestive mountain design, yeah I got it! And the song for the last battle, oh my gosh.\n\n\nFunny how for an older guy he packs quite the punch.
