As you get deeper into the depths... so does the details and complexity of this world!
Freely explore the abstract intricacies of the Mandelbrot fractal by collecting all the pieces along its surface. The more you collect, the more your environment will evolve.
But beware! Never come into contact with the fractal itself, or else...
We made absolutely everything from scratch, so feel free to comment on anything that picks your curiosity, we'd love to hear your opinion about this concept!
Controls:
Use 'A'/'D' or the 'Left'/'Right' arrows to create impulse in the opposite direction. TIP: press both at the same time to propel yourself straight up.
Thank you for playing! See you in the comments - The devs
Its fun exploring the Mandel Set as it gets more detailed! It was interesting trying to figure out where would be the safest. Its a bit difficult to control but you get used to it. I got to iteration 9. The music is pretty catchy, but once it finishes playing it doesn't start again until you die.
Really interesting result from the theme! I love the idea of diving deeper into the Mandel Set. I would add a detail on the opening controls language that specifies left/right click as I tried to use arrow keys at the start. Well done though overall!
Cool idea to use the idea of fractals as an environment! I liked the movement controls too, but I did find it quite difficult initially, maybe starting with some of the pieces a little further from the surface in the first few itterations and then gradually moving them closer could help tutorialise a little more so that players can get used to manouvering around? Great job!
Really interesting use of the theme! It was really neat exploring the fractal as it got more and more detailed. The controls took a little bit of getting used to but once I did I had a blast.
Interesting concept, i really like the fractal effect, but was quite laggy in my browser, also i went outside the bounds of the map (revealing the unity skybox lol) but nice job overall!
This is the first depths of math, depth of iteration kind of game I played and I find the idea very cool. Kudos to programming as well. The game ran very slowly in firefox (probably a unity thing) but I went to chrome and got 7.
I really liked the concept, good take on the theme. Hitboxes and movement made everything play pretty well, but some more gameplay changes as you go down layers would have been fun I think.
I haven't gotten past the fifth iteration
I didn't understand what the black stuff was for
A little more responsive controls would be cool.
thanks well done!
As I was playing it i was wondering by which rule the colored rings appear?
Is that the game?
Congratulations to your team for this interesting game!
