What a cool game! It fits the theme really well and seems really consistent in terms of graphics and sound. I love the art style, and that the surface with the museum works like an intro. I didn't realize at first that the lava comes up in several spurts and when everything is safe again, you can go back down. Deeper and deeper... and you can also dig strategically. very well thought out.

A really great game — it’s clear that a lot of work went into it. The graphics are beautiful and the sounds are pleasant. Thank you for the game!

Fun stuff. Like @fraukauz said, I was unaware the lava came up and down, I initially thought I'd have to get all the fossils in a single go. Once it clicked though, it was a real good time. Thanks!

So far the most beautiful mine game I've seen on jam. Very cool!

Beautiful game, nice gameplay, only my brain broke from the fact that the character has no gravity. and I could not understand how I move through the air or I suddenly found myself in another plane.

Very fun, but sometimes gettings stuck on the edges of blocks is frustrating

The graphics are nicely done. I like the city and museum on the top. The underground on the other hand lacks a little bit of variety.

The perspective is a bit strange, like the guy is floating in mid air.

The UI is self-explanatory and visually clean. I also like the lava effect.
The digging-animation was nice. :)

Very cool! Nice graphics, music, and gameplay. Smooth controls. Great application of the risk vs reward mechanic--I had a few tense moments. Great work!

The concept overall is very good, I believe that with a few extra mechanics this could become a complete game in no time. Really nice game!

- Music sounds great.
- I like the simple controls.
- First time I saw the lava alarm, I thought it was an alert that I needed to dig down to attend to it. Then I met the lava, haha.
- I didn't feel like there was much of a penalty to mash space. Though to the game's benefit, the lava regenerates the tiles so it feels like it was designed that way.
- When reaching the bottom of the map, it felt quite tricky, but glad to see that it worked out.
Overall a nice simple game that is quite enjoyable.

wow! cool art! and the music is very cheerful:3
but as for me, it's a bit counter-intuitive about digging the earth (to use the left click instead of the spacebar)

nice game idea, it took me 5 minutes to complete
the collisions could be a little bit more in favor of the player (smaller hitbox for player), as the visuals would indicate "yeah I can fit there already" when I'm still to far left or right

well done!

A cool and fun game! The graphics are very pleasant and well-made. The gameplay itself is great, but at certain moments, when I tried to start digging, nothing would dig at all. Other than that, it’s a great game overall. Good job!

Fun, energetic, and dynamic! It was exciting to carve a path and collect dinosaur bones. The constant lava eruptions really kept up the pace (what a great spot this museum picked...). The graphics are nice, and the music is awesome too.
My only issue was that the digging mechanic wouldn’t work if the character was standing right on the edge between two tiles. It’s a small thing, but it adds extra panic when the lava is right behind you xDD Overall, a wonderful job. Thank you so much for the game!

Delightfully polished, with a fun gameplay loop of pressing further into the depths...if you dare. I was a bit frustrated by the digging not working on the edges of tiles, but at the same time, this "bug" added a fun challenge, encouraging me to be more precise in how I positioned the character. One actual bug I ran into: My gameplay was cut short at around ~23 fossils due to the HTML5 app using too much memory, forcing a page refresh. 😭

Such a unique game! I really like the implementation with the lava, and how it randomizes the rock each time. The main issue I have with it is that you have to align yourself with the grid perfectly for it to mine otherwise you get stuck, would have preffered a different method, either with an actual grid or something else, because right not it's pretty furstrating. Otherwise, it's fun to see how far down you can go before the lava gets to you. I could really see this as an arcade game! Great work

Very cool ! I got down to the last three but just wasn't quick enough to get all the bones near the lava  .

Nicely paced game, and great work on the music and art. As others have mentions, a forced 'snap' to nearest grid point would be cool, as the inter-tile snagging issue definitely hindered some runs, especially when trying to speed-dig downwards following the retreating lava to get the maximum digging time.
