Trapped by depths by cRoxx

made by cRoxx for Ludum Dare 57 (JAM)

You wake up in a shadowy canyon — no map, no answers, just a pickaxe clutched in your hand. Stone walls rise around you, silent and cold. No signs of life. No way back.
Your only goal: find a way out of this forsaken place.

Very meditative game. Nice music, simple visuals, clear goal — overall, I really liked it!

I really love the eerie atmosphere. The sound effects and music are great, though the music doesn't loop perfectly. Running still feels a bit slow. The ending cutscene is cool.

A 3D entry, interesting. Kind of just felt like a walking simulator, though. Not really mechanically complex, and lacked an interesting objective. Nice ambience though, and I always like a low-poly aesthetic.

Simple digging and delivering.
For later players, you can climb on not-too-steep slopes by repeatly jumping, that should save you some time climbing back up.

Super vibe game, perfect for meditation, good music, good visual, but the interface is really lacking

Nice game. I think you could do faster movement both walking and running, maybe a little explanation what to do in the beginning. Also when i blew up rocks in the end, i was looking at floor so the cutscene didn't show me the explosion:(

Looks good and I like the atmosphere. The gameplay is simple and pretty fun. The game feels a bit slow. Could also have used a bit more gameplay. But overall a pretty good jam game.

As others have said, I thought the gameplay could be a bit juicier or the loop a little more interesting in some way. I did like all the little details you added though, with the (nice & glowy) ores flying into and out of you and the outline around interactables, and your implementation of music and sfx even if they weren't your own assets--all made the game feel nice and relaxing, even if the gameplay was a little lacking.
