About The Game: You're on the phone with your partner. They're hungry. You're on your way. But the one question that shakes the foundations of every relationship looms ahead: "What do you want to eat?"

Welcome to Fifty Floors of Flavor, a short and silly 3D game about making the hardest choice of all time — dinner. Pick between two takeout options each round, but choose wisely...

Will you taste victory, or end the night with whatever’s left in the fridge?

The music and sound were composed and mastered by Osman Can Güdül.

A pretty funny little game.

I feel like there is bit to much vertical movement when walking and the game could benefit from some loading screens between stages (to hide when the platform isn't loaded and when the player is locked). But overall it is a fun idea.

Didn’t expect that level of depth!:thumbsup:

Personally I like the idea, it got some laughs out of me. I think this game would really improve a lot of you had it get more absurd as you pick more things. Sort of like "pizza, pinnaple pizza, pineapple on the pizza" and just keep going further with all the choices in that same vain.

@jose-pedro-dias Yes, sadly we couldn't get the ldjam player to work, we were hoping the error was on our side but we just removed it after your comment, thanks.

@antonin-granados thanks for the feedback, we did notice the need for a small loading screen but we both didn't have enough time to add them sadly, 72 hours were more like 24 for us with the work schedules

And everyone else thank you all for playing our little game, glad you all got a chuckle out of it. All feedback is valuable and we'll try to get back to as many people as we can.

Hey! If you can, please submit your work on ITCH, it seems that there is a problem with LDJAM's web page insertion!

Well done anyway!

@yibirabbit007 Thanks, we already deleted LDJAM's web page insertion and had a link to itch from the start, can you send me a screenshot from your side? it seems fine on our end but I would appreciate being aware of any problems on viewer end

Chocolate cake is ALWAYS the answer. Great job on capturing how insanely frustrating is when people can't make decesion. I was ready to close the window

I actually really liked the effect of the audio clip continuing when you made your selection... it made something simple (just WASD movement and looking) feel like it was driving dialogue, which is not an easy effect to implement.

Nicely done!

A fun take on the theme. Got "sushi" and then "whole pineapple on the pizza" for my two playthroughs. Love the voice acting :)

I've never had chocolate pizza, and I'm not sure I want to meet the person who wants it for dinner (which apparently this person did).

Such a cool game! Apparently sarcasm takes a while to click with me - I kept trying to develop winning strategies. I proposed a new dish every time, looked for meaning in the colors :) It was hilarious!

@calitoucourt actually there are 2 possible endings  but like in life, it requires some luck

Hah, a classic story! Pretty nice idea for a jam game. :)

I tried pineapple pizza 4-5 times in the same game and she finally said yes to it. Maybe being persistent does pay off. :D

I enjoyed the food variety, especially the weird ones. Seems like that would be perfect way to expand the game, just add more and more bizarre ideas. "Milk and banana ramen?!" :D

There were two bugs in the HTML version that I found. First one is that, I have no idea why, after you click on the game and it captures mouse focus, the mouse keeps moving to the right on its own and you can't stop it. It's pretty slow, so it doesn't prevent you from moving where you want, but it does feel weird seeing this ghost movement. The other bug was that the "Try again?" button doesn't seem to work, in order to play again I needed to reload the page. Luckily after the initial load, subsequent attempts load pretty quickly.

I've kept playing until I got the second ending, and the "Try again?" button there worked.

All in all, a pretty simple idea executed in a very realistic fashion. :D I've had fun playing it, nicely done!

@lcstark Yeah I think the try again on the success screen gave out while trying to get the WebGL export, on the Windows version it works fine but we kept it as is in the name of fairness during the game jam, will fix it after rating ends. Thanks for playing and feedback!

This was very funny and relatable. I thought the art was really good too especially with the limited time!

Baby you already said no to chocolate cake! I only asked again as a joke and now it's a yes?!

Very fun entry, I enjoyed falling through many levels. I like to imagine that the fish cake was a hilarious misunderstanding between the modeler and the game designer, hehe. Good job!

This game is too hard, you should include difficulty levels.

HAhaha it really is very difficult to choose something. And in the end you end up ordering the usual thing that is more guaranteed.
