The depths of Jam dungeon by Jernskegg
My Second Ludum Dare Entry
The theme "Depths" made me think of an infinite dungeon crawler. I started with that concept in mind, but limited the game to just two levels to keep the playtime short—since I know you'll be playing and giving feedback on many other entries!
Premise
Delve as deep as you can. Defeat the mobs to earn the key that unlocks the next floor.

Personal Notes
This is the second game I’ve made, and it went much smoother thanks to some experience—from better planning to achieving results more quickly. I also learned to limit the number of features to avoid overwhelming myself.
I’m really proud of what I created, and I had a lot of fun making it.
It’ll be exciting to see what future me will be able to achieve!

For example: You could try adding another level, which has not only the blob-enemy, but also another type of enemy additionally on the map. Different graphics (even if it's just the same blog in green) and different HP. That variation makes it interesting. You got collision detection and item pickup already in place, so maybe you could have a golden sword (or so) lying around, that amps up your attack value per hit. Or item potions (next to the ones that already drop) that allow you to hit faster for a few seconds, i.e. shorter cooldown between hits.
I think instead of clicking and clicking, I would prefer just pressing the attack button.
I was little sad that the camp ended up being kind of empty.
I appreciate the AI logic you have here. Do they have path finding?
As for your plans in personal notes - I think you did well to keep your scope in check. And you will definitely improve over time. I would love to see more features implemented into this one.
Good job, keep at it!
