Love me a typing game, that was a great time. Not sure how deep it goes but it was oddly meditative :P
Some of the word got crazy, and mixing in caps to add challenge was clever.

Wow that was great, I especially loved the music and how the whole feeling changed into something sinister!

Thank you guys !!! glad you liked it 🧘 we really had a hard time with the theme so after one day of brainstorming and staring at empty voids, we thought oh maybe the empty void is the friends we made along the way or something like that and then made this 🫠

Great title—it really catches the eye! Classic typing gameplay with a nice atmosphere. It might be a bit tough for non-native English speakers though, haha.

there is a small typo in the opening sequence, "one one hand". I was so surprised when the switch happened and weird words started appearing.

Might be because of my poor English, but I didn't quite get how to play)) Still, the atmosphere, graphics, idea, and theme seemed really good to me. Well done!

Pretty fun typing game :) Finally a game about the John Depths, the main character in all other games of this jam.

Original game, and oddly meditative. The background swirl probably :D

Interesting and useful trainer for speed typing. More practice, and T9 can be turned off.

Thank you guys for playing !!

- **@Indiealesha** Oops sorry about that, i also have trouble because i use a weird international qwerty layout 🦇 don't worry we will localize the game when we sell 1M copies worldwide
- **@DazyLude** Yes this John guy seems to be everywhere lately 👀
- **@MadelineF** Trussssstt in meeee 🐍🐍
- **@NoNumberGames** Damn 1v1 typing off when ?

Really cool atmosphere and mood! I love how it takes a dark turn – and the music is perfect for it!

The mood of the game is out of the world, I really liked the part where it turns dark. The only problem are my clumsy fingers when the screen shows the vErY DIffICulT tExtS wHEre I haD TO loOOK reALlY caRefuLLy foR tHe CapItalIzaTioNs!!!

@keith-wang Thanks! It's a good way to practice I guess haha

@doridie Thank you so much! And yeah @aeoncl really nailed the vibe with the music & sfx !

@yancharkin Thank you !! :D We had a tough time brainstorming at first, but I'm glad we stuck with this idea in the end!

@joseph-tan ahaha yeah the mOcK CaSe tExTs were a bit OP - we had to nerf a few words because we underestimated how hard they were to type out at first :'D

This one took me by surprise! Really cool presentation and the way the game progressed was not at all what I was expecting. Loved the audio changes and the way the case changed randomly within the words. This game definitely invokes some vibes!

Great job!

I very much like the interpretation of the theme. Everything comes together to make you feel going deep. Great Game ! Never thought I'd have to scramble to try typing stuff like yodsv'opcancipsd as fast as possible lol

This is a relatable scenario (not the eldritch part, writing is quite hard). I've taken Mavis Beacon - and this definitely is a more interesting way to practice typing! One thing I do want to note is that due to the warning in the description of the game - I didn't realize that we were also supposed to type the eldritch sounding words since I was "trying to avoid" that :P

Sure sucks your right into it. It's rather immersive and you forget about what's around, the aesthetics fit in well and the game-play is fast & hard. A great fun experience!

Pretty cool! Straight forward typing game. Even though I'm not the greatest typer it still was fun to play.

Would be really cool if the words would tell even more of a story.

Had D0vidds join on stream, here's the vod in case you want to check it out again: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2428950737?t=3h25m40s

Ha a fellow typing game! I enjoyed this one a lot, you managed to make a lot out of typing, I liked the different types of text and how the word selection changes overtime to keep things fresh, the gibberish words got me everytime especially the ones with the ' character. This is as far as I managed to get, nice work and awesome music too!

Man, I love this game!
So extremly unique, and the mood and sountrack are AWEEEEESOME!
(specially that soundtrack)

Sadly I suck at typing games, so I made it to almost 40 words, but no more...
It could be abit easier, but tbh, I cant write with my 10 fingers anymore soooooo
Skill issue I guess, haha

This is the tale/
Of a struggling writer./
Dives into his mind/
And dies right awayyyyyyy!/

So easy to get overwhelmed by so many thoughts (and in the game!) Thought I was clever thinking "I'll let that word pass over my head" only to be hit by the U-turn! Still, love the theme, love the concept, love the innovation, and love the background! Thanks for sharing!

Nice :) It's a simple concept and the idea of delving deeper and deeper into inspiration/madness is neat. I really liked the music, with its different variants, and the more drum'n'bassy end to the third version was surprising. The changing background (called "Balatro background" by elZach :D) was also cool. Maybe it could have a more difficult mode?

Thanks a lot for playing and the kind words guys !!!
- @0x-void-x0 Oh a fellow typing game enjoyer ! looking forward to try out yours and see what spin you put on it :D
- @jona-scheidig Yeah we really didnt have that much time to tweak the difficulty curve, we wanted to add multiple easier "concept" waves to introduce the different gameplay elements, like a wave of slow blinking word with a speed increase between each words, and that sort of thing but time was short, palms sweaty already, moms spaghetti
- @agrmayank it's okay if you're not the typing type 😎
- @mcgiants Hahaha yes the dreaded elliptic curve
- @aurel300 Couldnt resist adding that amen break at the end 😂
