Loved the art and audio ! The tone is really set neately and it really feels like you're going deeper and deeper in the forest

The art looks amazing, and the ui suits the overall setting of the game. Moving between the layers of the forest feels weird but in a good way. I wish we could sprint faster though. Fun experience overall!

Layers are a very cool idea, great feeling of going deeper into the forest, monsters are very scary too.

I think I finished it? Found the heart in the red section, that's it?

Anyhow, I enjoyed it, thank you for this entry!

Good:
* \+ love the art style
* \+ character animations are simple but fitting and look cool
* \+ generally robust mechanics, no crashes
* \+ depth layers feel the right kind of weird, as mentioned above :)

Neutral:
* \~ BGM feels repetitive pretty much right from the start

Bad:
* \- SFX and BGM Audio Settings don't work (Master does)
* \- encountered a bug where the layer/depth changing animation towards the camera did not play, appears to be caused by opening the menu while the transition is playing - it won't work properly afterwards
* \- encountered a bug where I was unable to open the chest despite holding the key, appears to be triggered when you stand between the first candle and the note on the tree (i.e. inside both colliders) and hit "E"

There are a few mistakes in this game, but you can work with it. I like the art style in this game and the simple animations, it looks nice.

really cool idea and art. Moving between the layers of the forest is a really cool mechanic. I had a lot of fun but its quite difficult because of the monsters suddenly appearing and killing you

Beautiful visuals, somewhat reminiscent of old cartoons! The atmosphere itself is lovely yet slightly oppressive. Unfortunately, I had trouble understanding what was going on. I replayed it five times but never found anything others mentioned in the comments. A shame. I think if what was happening on screen were clearer (with more visible objects or less overgrowth), it would be more fun and allow us to learn more of the story.

The art direction here is a highlight. I like the whole effect for the layers, it became a bit hard to see things in subsequent layers, but the transition was highly satisfying. Maybe a lower level of transparency for the front or like just silhouettes or the like? I unfortunately felt as lost as the little girl did, I felt like transversing the deepest patch of forest was ironically safer than walking the front ones where there was light. Some more indication of where to go or what to do, and a bit better visibility, and this would work super well, the layers thing is truly mind blowing!

Cool take on the depth theme, the art and music were really well pulled off.

Nice job, managed to finish it. Super creepy forest and vibe which was really well done. I found the sprint sometimes worked and sometimes didn't and it was a bit hard to tell if the big bad was in the same layer as you. Great work though!

The layer switching was cool, loved the art but found the wendigo monster quite frustrating as it could appear and kill you with no warning.
