The Deepest Diamond by Silliest Goose
You are a cave explorer looking for interesting samples. Run with WASD or Arrows to traverse the twisting paths! Jump and dive with Space to leap dangerous gaps! Grab throw and put down specimen with E to bring them back to the minecart!
Find and retrieve all 6ish samples:
Amethyst Geode - Great to start.
Gigantic Bone - Too wide for some gaps.
Large Glow Worm - Wriggles too tall for some ledges.
Blood Opal - Several tons in weight, you can't jump while holding it.
Amber Drop - Sticky to the point you move at a snails pace, you can still jump though.
The Deepest Diamond - Deep under the lava, you will have to collect this last.
?. The Silliest Goose - ??????.
Bonus challenge: Speed run Try and beat the Dev's time : 3:23.693 Or the fastest in the comments : Be the first! This kinda goes on the honor system, also no geese allowed!
Dev note: This actually came out pretty good in my eyes. In previous years I've had to cut down a lot, which still happened, though to a very lesser degree. This was also my first fully 3d project. I ended up learning a lot about how unity works along the way. Anyways hope you enjoy!
PS. Sometimes it seems you can get stuck on the walls, just try and jump above the block to fix it. PPS. This was fixed in a new version.

Unfortunately I think I hit a major bug at the very end: trying to get the diamond, I managed to end up *below* the rising lava without it killing me, and when I accidentally dropped the diamond off the ledge, it was always below the lava and was never reset, so I couldn't get it anymore and wasn't able to finish the game. So close! :(((
Took me probably half an hour to get that far. It was difficult. The heavy one was the trickiest, and the one that felt the least like I was actually solving it correctly and more so getting lucky with the physics quirks. The transparent pictures were a bit confusing because I didn't get it to the minecart by dive jumping. I just jumped with it on my head (not grabbed), then grabbed it in the air and threw it again and it just about made it to the other side.
The stick figure is cute and I like how distinct the different pickups were. I see you opted out of the audio category since it wasn't your music but it was a good choice :)
Fun, just a bit unpolished!
I'm a bit confused on what the intended solution was for some of the objects.
For the Blood Oval, I cannot jump while carrying it, but I can drop it and jump while it is above me to push it upwards.
For the Amber Drop, I am slow while carrying it, but I found that I can still run fast while pushing it, so I pushed it quickly and then grabbed it and jumped when I was close to the ledge.
Felt a little bit like I was abusing a bug, but I don't see how it would have been possible otherwise. If it's intended, it feels unintuitive, because thematically if an object is heavy or sticky, dropping it shouldn't make it lighter.
E.g. for the sample on the right I thought it was really intuitive that you drop the sample moving under the ledge since the sample is too big. My next thought was I must have to jump then throw it over the ledge but I couldn't figure out if there is a way to do that, and you can't see any of the things you use to double jump so it isn't really clear what you are supposed to do there.
The sample that you can't jump whilst holding is also a cool idea, but I really felt like the solution should be that there is a way to throw the sample in order to get it to gain elevation but I couldn't see a way to do so. I did figure out that you can drop it on your head and then jump with it but this doesn't make sense to me as if it's too heavy to jump with then this should also not be possible.
Overall though it seems really cool, and with a few tweaks it could be a really fun game :)
