Moose Diver by Maskrosen
Collect coins from the ocean floor. Sell the coins and upgrade the moose diver's gear to reach greater depths and more valuable coins.
How to play:
Use the coin vacuum to collect coins. Bring back the coins to the island to sell them. Buy upgrades and repeat. Be careful to not run out of oxygen as you will drop the coins you have collected if you do. Go back to the island to refill oxygen.
Controls: * WASD, move character * Space (hold), activate coin vacuum
To run the game download and unpack the zip file, then run MooseDiver.exe
The game is made in C with raylib
I made everything myself during the jam except for: Sound effects/Music, these are licensed assets The base moose model and animations, borrowed from another game of mine The UI assets, borrowed from that same game
Let me know in the comments what you think about the game or if you have any issues :relaxed:

P.S. Are you thinking of having the Moose work in a sushi restaurant?
That being said, the movement is fine but the vacuum using the space key is tedious. I would keep the movement keys the same and use the left mouse button to vacuum.
Additionally, you could make the 'W' key move forward, to change directions just move the mouse left or right, and use the left button to collect the coins.
Just a thought.
Great entry all around, congrats on a successful weekend!
Fun game. Adding a bit more variety to the music would be nice.
From a technical point of view I am quite impressed... There are thousands of staples and the game seems to memorize how much I have collected from each one.
Sucking up coins is a little unsatisfying because they spring back into place unless you stand still. I also dont like how the moose just snaps into a direction instead of slowly turning.
Despite that though, it is really impressing for a single person jam game.
After over an hour of gameplay I can say, it's addictive. The idea is not really innovative or now but the execution of it all is nicely done! Only thing I would've liked is some sort of goal. At first I thought there might be something like a sunken ship at the end of the line - that would've been the cherry on top!
Great entry!
I have some feedback tho.
- I didn't like the vacuum, it should feel nice to vacuum the coins, but then you move a little bit and the coins return to the original place. It made it really frustrating for me.
- Progression feels a little sloe. You have to return to the island very often. I wish I could get deeper a little faster, and have a heavier progression as you go farther.
- The coins and vacuum sound can be a little annoying after a while, it's missing some variable pitchs and volumes
Other than that, I really found it funny that it is a moose on an island gathering coins underwater
