I actually liked the fact you can pick up hunters and throw them on others to stun them. Was funny to see. The controls were feeling nice since it was really challenging to picj up and stay in the air, just like somehow flappy duck.

The gameplay is simple but fun. The art style is excellent. The fact you can pick up the humans is funny and drag them to mother tractor beam. I loved how the map was done at the top. Overall the game is very good and fun.

the pico 8 games over the years are becoming more and more visualy impressive to me, this one is a great example, stunning pixel art, with so many limitations. Really good work overall, and enjoyable gameplay, though I did not manage to beat the game. One last cow... one :P

That's my jam ! I really like the idea and the little storyline of the game...I think it's really cool... the execution is great, the graphics are really cute, I love the look on the cows' faces when you hit them with the beam. I really like the arcade gameplay which I find very suitable for PICO and as part of a jam. It's very cool, well done.

Hilarious concept! Thought the gameplay was really well executed; allowing the player to pick up and throw or even abduct the farmers was a clever dual use of the mechanic that offered some good decision points, especially later in the game as the farmers really pile up. Visuals were great; not only was the spritework charming, but the way things jiggled when in the tractor beam gave a real sense of weight. Music was a little on the repetitive side, but got the job done. Overall, fantastic work!

That's probably the prettiest Pico-8 game I've ever seen. Very cool! Just hard enough to be challenging but still fun. I love the added touch of the minimap, it's very helpful.

Absolutely fantastic pixel art!!! I love pixel art so much, and you nailed that part of it. You even had sprite animations for the walking, etc.

The cows are hilarious and adorable. I may have crashed my UFO into a cow more than a few times.

I wish there was slightly more music/audio but the sounds you do have are perfect.

Even the fire/burning animation on the gameover screen shows a full attention to detail.

IMO it's one of the top entries for LD57.

That said, I think the ship's vertical movement needed some tuning. It seems to fall a little too quickly imo

At first I felt the number of farmers spawning and shooting at a time was a little too much, but I do love that you can pick them up. It makes things a lot more manageable and fun

That said, I feel like the game got pretty monotonous after a while. It really needed atleast one more enemy type, or atleast one other type of obstacle.

All things considered though, this was a pretty damn good and funny entry

I really do like this one, absolutely adorable sprite design and a solid gameplay.

Flying being on up is breaks my brain for some reason, it's 100% a me problem but I strongly feel that I would prefer thrust being on a button (especially considering that the second pico 8 button is unused).
Tried it on a keyboard, have beaten it on a physical device with d-pad and it still control felt weird for me.
