Nickel by rhill

[raw]
made by rhill for Ludum Dare 57 (JAM)

Simplified mining simulation. Can be played in browser with mouse.

It might be a framework for a game rather than a proper game. There are no set goals, and no great penalties that would make it challenging.

nice idea. I like the interaction of assigning workers so different mines and digging deeper to unlock new ones. The Window on itch is very tiny and cannot be resized which makes the game very hard to play with tiny pixel sprites.
I played for two days, do I need to get the workers back up at the end of the day to continue? is seems like they can just continue for ever

I love the overall vibe of this. The sounds are fun and Id kill for more of this. Hell yeah.

There wasn't much to do but it was fun. Consider adding adjustable screen sizes and add just more in general other than that great job :)

Me in the first minute: "Why do I need this elevator when I can just drag and drop the guys around wherever I want?"

Me five minutes later: "Oh I see why this elevator is useful now!"

Me five minutes later: "Darn my elevator, why is its capacity so small??"

Good job creating a system the drew me in. Scope was a bit basic and below that critical mass that made this REALLY addicting, but it was definitely heading in that direction.

Nice entry!

This was super fun. I love the art style. Just a few simple shapes and it's so evocative of those old nickle mines. The palette is spot on for a mining sim. Great work!
