In Fish.Net, you fish not just for riches, but for the thrill of the deep. Cast your line into darker and darker waters in search of bigger, rarer, and more valuable fish. Be careful of some of the creatures of the abyss! Some will snap your line if you get too close, and some things aren’t meant to be reeled in.

There is also a a strange eldritch horror who, for reasons unknown, sells you upgrades to fish even deeper. Why would it help you? What does it gain? And what lies even further down?

How to Play - Move left and right using A and D. - Hold SPACE to cast your line. - Press SPACE repeatedly to reel in. - Each reel consumes line stamina. If you run out of stamina your line breaks, losing your catch. - Different fish have different weight on the line and gives different amount of cash.

There’s (sadly) only one upgrade. To buy it, click the leftmost tile on the middle row of the shop.

Fun game, the upgrades look interesting but I was only able to buy the rope length ones.

It seemed like if I reeled the fish in too quickly I didn't get the coins for them.

Also it might be good to add a timer after reeling the fishing line preventing you from casting a new line, as a few times I was pressing space to reel in the line and accidentally cast a new line.

I'd like to see this concept polished out! I enjoyed trying to bring my hook to different fishes and avoiding the ones that just eat my line XD. Though, it didn't seem like I got any money unless the flying fish hit my hook that hadn't cast.

It's a solid start to a game for sure! It was pretty hard to know when or where to click on the upgrade so potentially moving it to its own menu would be a good idea. I enjoyed collecting as many fish as I could, but staying near the top and stacking fish seemed to be the best strategy since it broke really fast when getting far down. Overall, I really enjoyed the game and would love to see it with more content!

This is so fun! We made practically the same game! As you no doubt already know your game could have been vastly improved by adding more upgrades rather than just the one. I know from the responses to my game that this is a very strong concept and I love how you still took it in a different direction from mine! Amazing!

Fun fishing game! The core gameplay loop is solid. There's a lot you could add to this to build upon what you have. There seems to be a slight issue with how the scene is rendered. Most of the layers are visible beyond, what i'm assuming, you wanted the player to see. All the assets were well made from the graphics to the audio and music.

This game is pretty chill. The music is great ! It sets you for the relaxing mood and doesnt distract you from gameplay. The art is good also. I think that adding more upgrades could improve the game.

I like the music a lot, this sort of game is nice because it's chill and there's very little pressure, ofc there's lots to add but this is a game jam! :) good work.

The game is superb, however would have liked if it was more responsive. The graphics and audio are chill, and have a vibe which is super hard. The gameplay is also interesting, especially the space bar to bring up the fish. I wish their was more feedback to indicate if i had collected the fish or not. And it would have been interesting if the fish tried to escape. But loved the attention to detail from graphics to music to gameplay.

Nice graphics, although the game was a bit short. The music also fit it well. One thing I did notice is that when I set it to fullscreen, the scaling seemed a bit off, basically I think I was seeing stuff that was outside the area that was supposed to be visible. In Godot, the `display/window/stretch/mode` setting can be used to ensure that the game looks the same on different sizes of monitors.

Really nice fishing game. The Mood and the audio was really nice, as well as the graphics.
Sadly, I could just improve my rope lengh and it was a little bit strange that it upgraded that length every time i had enough money - without going back to the shop.

But it was a really cozy experience!

Cute little fishing game! Resolution was a bit wacky and I had to resize the window to get graphics to behave.

Nice chill mood, had some fun for a while with it.

Hm, there seems to be a bug where you can't cast a line anymore after you buy the length upgrade? Either way, fun entry with a lot of promise. I think seeing the fish underwater makes for a very satisfying hunt and reel experience that most other fishing games don't have. I'd love to play a more complete post-jam version of this.
