I think this game is very impressive. Everything feels very smooth and polished, and your music is great! The main thing that surprised me was the very involved player movement script. The wall bouncing and grapple hook and the animations are very detailed. The only thing that comes to mind is to fit the theme a little better and for a more interesting gameplay feel, you could go even deeper and the sprites and blocks change the further down you go!

The controls are a little weird
even with a hook, it's a little hard to lift up
plus sometimes you fall on bushes without having the slightest chance to notice them.
The camera got funny a couple of times, I went behind the screen.

Digging is fun, there's some vibe to it, responsive controls would be cool.
well done

The visuals are solid and the character design stands out. The gameplay fits the theme well, but the background music seems to have overlapping tracks, and the mining could use more satisfying feedback—resources felt quite sparse. Still, congrats on getting a game done for the jam!

Nice entry! I like how the abilities are tuned, with jumping being nice and high, and the hook having a bunch of uses. There is a decent amount of strategy involved in digging such that you'll be able to return without too much trouble. I was a bit incautious at first, but eventually made it all the way through.

@FoxEcho There is a weird issue with WebGL that was causing both parts of the music loop to play simultaneously in the web build only. We just pushed a patch that fixes this issue so you can hear the music properly. Thanks for playing, and if you have time please give it another chance!

Had a lot of fun with this one even though the digging take on theme felt a little bit by the book. You learn early on that finding a nice wide open space is a good way to land your butt in the thorns. The mechanics feel really tight, especially the way you can sometimes keep jumping by grabbing on to the wall, but I think they are being somewhat let down by the controls. Especially if you play with the mouse, it really feels like you should be able to aim using the mouse.

The difficulty felt just right to me and I finished the game in a few tries. I will say once you collect all the ore the arrow seems to not point to the exact location which you entered from but somewhere close, which was a bit confusing but I ended up getting it. Probably felt more tense cause I only had one life left. Presentation was very good, well done there. Really enjoyable entry overall!

managed to beat the game without seeing a single enemy.

@jcmonkey the map is randomly generated so you can try again, you were either lucky and creatures spawned in different place and you avoided each other or you had a bug that we don't know about and nothing spawned.

Really enjoyed the game and the feel. The music was amazing. There were some times when the grappling hook didn't quite react when I pressed the button, but overall it was quite the vibe. I can dig it

Cool game, great music in particular. I'm a music guy so I got pretty distracted by just focusing on that lol but the other sound effects in the game were nicely balanced with that music for a cohesive overall presentation. Can't tell you how many times a game has great audio assets that just don't work in game because they aren't mixed correctly, but gladly that was not the case here! Good work!

I loved the mood and the relaxed nature of it. While the enemies and hazards caught me off guard the first time, I quickly adapted and was really feeling the diggy diggy vibes. Great graphics and music, and fun to run around in. Typically games of this nature would feel really closed in and stiff, but the movement was really smooth and getting around was easy going. Great work!

I heard something about another mole game, so of course I had to look! (And with that: why under earth are there no mole emojis?)

I really liked the relaxed gameplay, I think the music complemented well to this. The different movement mechanics are great and give you a lot of freedom. Was fun to clear the map and the sounds for shattering and collecting the ore are very satisfying. The graphics are great as well of course, a really likeable mole!

Had a great time playing this on stream here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2427848024?t=3h32m9s

The art and character design are incredible! Also loved the music and sound design. I would like to see a little guidance in the level, the spot lights are a great touch but I think more would be great. I kept feeling like I was just aimlessly digging around.

Immaculate vibes!

This executed very well! I missed the opportunity to hold on with the grappling hook, and drill while you are holding. Enemies are too easy, but overall it's a very cute and enjoyable game!

Cool Steamworld Dig vibes! Were well executed. Missed a few more critters, but that would have been a totally different kind of game. Well done!

Great game, really liked it! Especially liked the level - very beautiful and excellent character sprite. One of the best games on this jam in my opinion.
Thank you for the game and good luck!

Impressive work! It was quite chill digging holes and trying to find my way up once done. I didn't find any bugs in my run and it feels like a well rounded and finished work, well done!

This was a lot of fun! Kind of relaxing, really - yes, there are enemies, but I only saw two of them the whole time, so they weren't a huge part of the experience. The graphics are excellent, and the whole thing has a very nice and calming atmosphere. Great work.

I really like the art and atmosphere. The procedural generation you implemented for level generation was pretty awesome as well. Other than a few issues with controls, the game is great!

Lovely entry, both fun and chill, really satisfying digging your way around, the character controls really nice for this kind of game.
The animation on the grapple feels great, props to your artists.
I could easily see this expanded upon adding upgrades etc.
Great work.

That's it!

A simple, beautiful, objective and well-made game. Its soundtrack is very relaxing and made me feel comfortable to keep playing even after I got 100.
Many big companies should learn to make games like this.
Congratulations on your entry.

Super smooth controls! Just running around digging and wall jumping is a JOY!

As I said on stream: I think some hints to where the next ore could be would be nice. Like orey veins in the background which you would still need to discover, but arent just a one block wide shiny thing that you have to chance upon.

Here's a timestamp to the game in the vod: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2428950737?t=2h46m58s

Just getting around to rating this but really solid entry. The mole is so cute! Liked the fact that the diamonds glowed a bit to hint where they were. The enemies I didn't feel like really ever posed any threat to me. The most dangerous thing was the bramble bushes but I figured out how to remove those pretty fast. Maybe some sort of ranged enemy could be added to pose more of a threat as you explore around. Always love a good digging game though. Reminded my of Steamworld Dig 2! Great job!

Massive vibe with this one! The soft visuals paired with the relaxing music made exploring a real treat. I was also very impressed with the waypoint/compass that led me back to the starting platform. Great stuff! Would love to see this concept be developed further!

Great entry! Love the detailed sprite work, the main character is so cute! Music also captures a nice mellow vibe that kept me going throughout. The use of lighting not only contributes to the mood, but I appreciate how it also contributes to the gameplay, both indicating where you've been and also hinting at the ore locations. The gameplay is solid: the digging controls work well and the grapple is fun to use, I like how you freeze in mid air when launching the grapple to help you line it up. Got maybe a bit repetitive hunting down the last few ores, and maybe the enemies/combat could've been more polished, but they more than served their purpose for a short jam game like this. Overall really enjoyed this one. Nice work!

The game in a word - RELAX ~(˘▾˘~)

The graphics are very nice, I especially liked the main character, he's right on topic! And as an artist, I especially shake my hand for the good tiles!

The enemies are scary, but the plants hit harder. It's a bit weird. I want more enemies! They're cool!!! >:)

The drilling is very good. The idea with the hook is cool!

The music is very cool, adds to the atmosphere of "Mine"!

I wonder what is the maximum number of diamonds you can collect per level? ( o_O)
