Made it , again super happy with the end result :v:

It felt a bit random as to if I would be able to hit the depth goal even with the controlled pull.
That said it was a fun experience. I really enjoy the "choose one of three" upgrade games.
I also like block breakers so this was a really enjoyable game for me.

I had to stop playing because I was getting too addicted! This is a really cool gameplay loop that works really well. The simple graphics combined with the crunchy sounds make everything feel really satisfying. Great work on this!

As soon as I saw the upgrade cards I was like 'Aw hell yeah' because that's how you know it's going to get good haha. I agree that I had to make myself stop playing because I got sucked into the game loop so badly, this is one of those games I could see myself downloading on my phone or buying on Steam just to kill some time :D The gameplay turned out really polished and I love the variety in buffs you can get, great work!

Good visuals and satisfying impact from the actions — great work! The only thing I missed was some kind of visual feedback for the boosts I collected. After a while, I completely lost track of what I’d picked up and why everything was suddenly so powerful.

@flinge Thank you for the feedback. Yes you are right I wanted to make an overview of the perks with an icon but got lost in making music and sounds ;) good feedback.

Super cool game! I spent one hour at trying to reach level 10 :) Art and sound remind me good old Atari times. I love all the upgrades, very addictive game. Well done!!

Really fun! Great work on the juice and gameplay. The upgrade font was a little hard to read, but thats just a nitpick.

Pretty fun overall, my favorite part was juicy animations. Text was a bit long, so maybe some icons could help. Otherwise is pretty solid fun and quite satisfying.

So satisfying to play when you get some big combos, nice work!

Super fun and addictive game, great job! Game feel was really on point!

All the upgrade were great, with the exception of the drill upgrade: imo it was super strong but made the gameplay way less fun as it removed the excitment of seeing the balls bounce around.
I think you could expand the game really well with a couple more upgrades. On suggestion: I think it would be coool if you could get the "the xth ball get an ability" upgrades multiple times but with a different ball affected each time. Having them all just for a specific ball felt a bit strange

Made it to the end ! REally satisfying game, loved the simple yet polished graphics, the screenshak and the bonuses ! Kinda wished there were more different though, at the end I just kept having more bounce (but I know there is a limited time in a ludum, we had the same problem in our game with our upgrades too) and also kinda wish for an unlimited mode that would be fun !! (and especially on a phone i think) Anyway well played that's a great game !

Ended up losing at level 9/10, but I really enjoyed it. Cool take on the block breaking genre. I agree with other commenters that you could definitely expand this into a full game, it's got a really great gameplay loop as it is. Nicely done, good luck in the jam!

this game is incredibly funny - very well done

I sadly wasn't able to complete the game, as it constantly crashed upon making really large combos - and please please limit the amount of exploding sound effects to a maximum of 5 simultaneously or similar amount, as 100 simultaneous explosions really hurt my ears - I had to mute the computer after that

@fancyreckless You're absolutely right! My plan was to add icons, but sadly I'm really bad at drawing them and with the time limit I had to go with text instead.

@tyrannas I’ll make sure to check out your game too! Thanks a lot for the feedback, an endless mode would definitely be fun. For the jam I really wanted to have an ending, but it’s a cool idea for the future.

@senso The "explosion on high speed" upgrade is pretty op when combined with the "click to move" upgrade.
I got an explosion on every bounce by always clicking on the ball's highest point :D

@matthewdrake Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it and made it that far! I’m happy to hear the gameplay loop worked for you. Expanding it into a full game sounds tempting for sure, lots of fun ideas left to explore. Good luck to you too in the jam! I'll check out your game later today.

@fis The sound is a bad bad sound effect but its in and time is over. That will be the first thing I'll fix when the jam is over! I totally agree on this.

Great job, lots of different bonuses. It was quite interesting to play, potential for development is visible.
I never managed to complete it, although I was close. Maybe too random.
Bugs - the upgrade pool is not updated when restarting.

@amolker thank you for the feedback. I’ll add the update pool update to my to do list for after jam.

This game is simple yet strangely addictive. I think it's a mix of the effects, increment and sounds. Very rewarding. By the way, both our games have the same vibe gameplay somehow :)

Very pleasant effects and gameplay. In my opinion, this mechanic has a lot of potential!

Downsides: the difficulty curve increases too sharply and there's no feedback for the player when losing.

But that doesn't change the essence - excellent game design work.

Absolutely amazing! I found the difficulty just right (quite hard but not impossible).

I think that winning build are all very similar though, so it is more about choosing the right order of upgrades rather than a building a unique combination of upgrades.

@yopox Nice job! Thank you for the play and leaving me some valuable feedback. There are a lot of abilities that could be better or have more synergy with others. in the jam rush i tried a few play sessions that's all the testing that i could do. When the jam is over and the game has a decent score i try to improve with better synergy's and a more balanced progression. ( thanks to you for making it clear how you made it )

Really satisfying to play, well done! Simple but effective graphics, and very nice use of particles and screen shakes when stuff explodes.

The bounce physics and particle trail for the balls were both really good for building a satisfying feel to the game - to the point I felt like I was missing out a bit on the bouncing once I'd get the drill through upgrade! It's got a bit of a feel of an incremental / clicker type game but the more physics elements of it are a cool twist on that that really make it feel more its own thing!
LDJam user 268934
13. Apr 2025 · 15:18 UTC
@jhax thank you for the feedback. Tink it would make more sense to inflict the drill to a random ball or something. Think you are right about that.

Nice little puzzle game with nice visuals and sound design.

The further I could get was level 7 on both runs. At the second run there was also a bug I believe that it kept giving me the same upgrades so I kept stacking additional bounces ending up with 15 for each ball lol

Great work!

I really liked this, it was a lot of fun to play! I found the font a little hard to read, and I would have loved to be able to see a summary of the skills I applied to each of the balls when hovering over them, but a really solid game!

22. Apr 2025 · 20:26 UTC
@empyreans thank you for the play , there is a small bug if you keep the +1 to all . If you do an other the it’s gone :) . I could not fix it on time .

@nsadie Totaly agree that the fond is very bad . I went to small then I could not scale the game write new texts in time. Good lesson learned. The overview is coming in full game if this jam proves the concept is ok enough.

nice and juicy game my only issues are that it's a bit hard to strategically select upgrades and audio is too loud when a lot of blocks are destroyed at the same frame.
