But the idea I really wanted to get at was that ropes are old tech too. We've been using them forever. Hemp ropes, hauling lines, reins, steel cables, and eventually electrical wires and fiber-optic cables. Different materials, different uses, but I kept coming back to this idea of a physical line carrying something from one place to another.\n\nI wanted the game to gradually get weirder as you started repairing things that had less and less to do with electronics, until that connection became obvious.\n\nTurns out that was a lot of game to make. And a LOT of things to draw.\n\nSo it ended up as the little cable-matching puzzle game you see here. Still pretty fun, I think? I'm happy I finished it, though I do wish more of the original idea had made it in.\n\nI didn't opt out of the Theme category because I'm curious how many of you buy this interpretation. Maybe you see the connection too. Maybe I've just been staring at cables for too long.\n\nAnyway, have fun, guys!", "scope": "public", "node-timestamp": "2026-10-18T22:05:57Z", "meta": {"author": [419542], "link-01-tag": [42332], "allow-anonymous-comments": "1", "grade-06-out": "1", "cover": "///content/6d6/66/z/7399a.png", "link-02-tag": [42336], "link-02": "https://yorzezzz-shell.itch.io/ye-old-repair-shop", "link-01": ""}, "meta-timestamp": "2026-10-21T10:16:56Z", "path": "/events/ludum-dare/60/ye-old-repair-shop", "parents": [1, 5, 9, 432763], "files": [], "files-timestamp": 0, "love": 0, "comments": 16, "comments-timestamp": "2026-10-21T01:13:03Z", "grade": {"grade-01": 12, "grade-02": 12, "grade-03": 12, "grade-04": 5, "grade-05": 12, "grade-06": 8, "grade-07": 11, "grade-08": 11}, "magic": {"cool": 118.32159566199, "feedback": 6, "given": 13.125, "grade": 11.857142857143, "smart": -21.118936225338}, "_collation": {"event": "LD60"}, "_live_source": {"record": "runs/20261021T124505.563991Z/records/0011.json", "object": "objects/4b5b03f8cd14c455044d516bcba7d0d9ac29d23cc7689d034ab0cb651e248301", "sha256": "4b5b03f8cd14c455044d516bcba7d0d9ac29d23cc7689d034ab0cb651e248301", "response_url": "https://api.ldjam.com/vx/node2/get/1+5+9+473+2807+2840+6512+12104+13362+14210+29594+39300+54750+62420+71341+74672+103796+126880+162497+186296+189270+215544+215896+240032+305915+385638+403596+408834+410492+417672+419010+419542+424535+429553+432763+432815+432833+432872+432948+432991+433020+433106+433270+433309+433381+433473+433486+434061+434066+434077", "captured_at": 1792586862}, "_score_source": {"source_modified": 1792577816, "source_version": 1381691, "capture": {"record": "runs/20261021T124505.563991Z/records/0015.json", "object": "objects/1773ffa82b336d7205528b81ca8cc45480e27b3e3a67a22fafffd262e9519cfb", "sha256": "1773ffa82b336d7205528b81ca8cc45480e27b3e3a67a22fafffd262e9519cfb", "response_url": "https://api.ldjam.com/vx/node2/get/1+5+9+2807+2840+5963+13362+39300+74672+103796+126880+162497+184211+186296+215544+366352+385638+408834+410492+419542+424535+432763+432799+432815+432833+432872+432948+433051+433270+433309+433473+434061+434066+434239+434247+434258+434259+434294+434395+435135+435428+435804+435815", "captured_at": 1792586926}, "source": "captured-api"}}, "text": "# Ye Old Repair Shop\n\nWelcome to a little old-tech repair shop! **Scroll to the bottom for the link to play in your browser!**\n\n![gameplay-01.gif](https://static.ldjam.com/raw/6d6/66/z/73ac9.gif)\n## How to play\n\nUse your mouse to drag each plug into a socket with the **same color and shape**.
