Old Tech

I interpreted the theme “Old Tech” as a style of presentation. So my game isn’t about Old Tech — it’s made using Old Tech.

Type text

You need to type commands into the text box. It’s always active. You can type commands in English and/or Russian. Let me know which language you’d like me to add to make things more comfortable, and I’ll try to include it in the next update. Or not. Who knows what goes on in my head?! image image.png

I recommend picking up a torch. It’ll be hard to find your way around without one. You’ll see the torch as soon as you start the game.nMove onto the same tile as the torch, face it, and type something like “Take”. Oh, right... You’ll have to type to move around, too. At least until you find some floppy disks that expand the game’s functionality.! flopy.jpg

If you play with the sound on, you might get more in-game hints. But you’ll have to listen to my unparalleled acting skills. So the choice is yours: risk vs. reward.

You'll unlock mouse controls and an expanded interface if you find the corresponding loot in the game. That's my interpretation of the Old Tech theme.

Attention

If you’re playing in a browser, the command input field will only become active after you click on the game window.

Warning

The web version works, but its fullscreen mode may not display correctly. Some objects may be partially cut off at certain screen resolutions. I ran out of time to fix this before the deadline.

Other than that, the web version is fully playable.
