Thank you so much for your interests! If you would love to rate, please only rate based on the design of arts and the theme. This is an artbook style page and there's no actual software to play. The developers made this decision to fully concentrate on the conceptual art designs.
Please comment if you would love to see a future release of this game and we are really looking forward to your replies.
Disclosure and Background
This is a set of visual game concepts made for LD60 and the theme is "Old Tech". We spent all the time working on the conceptual arts so there's actually no real game to play as we planned from the begining of this jam. This opportunity was taken to pick up some ambitious objects of creating the world view of an automated city inspired by Biosphere2 and Arcosanti.
EKSTASISTOPIA
Ekstasistopia is an experimental coastal city perched on the edge of a cliff. Construction began in the 1980s with the goal of creating an automated, future-oriented utopia. Emerging as part of the hippie movement, the project was initiated by a group of brilliant young designers, including Technical Director William Coza and Lead Architect Elys Sakamura.

William’s original vision was to build a city where robots provided all supplies and services, while humans focused on consumption and culture. However, due to technological limitations, Ekstasistopia ultimately relied on automation only for basic urban functions—such as air treatment, water supply, and agriculture—while essential production tasks still required significant human involvement.
During its heyday, the city’s permanent population likely hovered between 1,500 and 4,000. However, by the end of the 20th century, the city remained unfinished, and its funds had been completely exhausted. Consequently, the permanent population began to decline year after year. A statistics from three years ago indicated that the city’s current permanent population is only 5–10 people, while the number of seasonal residents is around 30.
This process was further accelerated by the rise of the artificial intelligence movement in the mid-21st century. As traditional "automated cities" were gradually abandoned in favor of the true robotic city, a concept much closer to the visions of Dr. William and the pioneers, the decline of Ekstasistopia only intensified.

Story Description
Having taken a wrong turn after misreading her map, Palladium finds herself on a backcountry road. While walking, she encounters Lu, who is preparing to leave Ekstasistopia for good with an old off-road vehicle. At Palladium's request, Lu agrees to give her a ride into the city although it's not in his plan. In the city, Palladium meets William Coza, now an elderly man and one of Ekstasistopia's original visionaries. He has a request of his own for Palladium...
