I am the monster under your bed by Darkgoon

[raw]
made by Darkgoon for LD33 (COMPO)
You are the monster who lives under the bed.
For some "reasons" you were outside the house when night fell and now you have to get back to your nest without getting found. Avoid hitting anything you find in your way (even walls) as they make noise and could wake up everyone in the house. Hurry! It won't be dark for long...

Controls:
Use your arrows (or WASD) to move. Be careful, the monster is not used to walk so it has some "little" problems in controling himself.

Tools used:
-Unity3D
-Visual Studio
-Photoshop
-sfxr
In the archive you wil find both the unity project and the executable.
Links may be down during updates.

Enjoy and thanks for playing!

EDIT 1: Added 3rd level

EDIT 2: Thank you for your feedbacks! Some of you were complaining about the hitboxes and turns out I messed up the cat's, dog's and bottles' hitbox: they are larger than they should be (the others should be fine). I'm sorry for this but for the sake of the jam this is the game I submitted so I won't be changing it. Thanks for letting me know though :)

This was a very interesting, very enjoyable game. Nice job! :D (The controls are a bit crazy though. :) )

It's very hard to move around. That's what I've expected to see when I've first heard the theme.

Very hard game! Hard controls, and the hitboxes are not very intuitive, but a good concept! Enjoyed it.

Fits to the theme pretty well though it is simplistic as far as gameplay. Unfortunately the game doesn't seem to grasp the concept of a 2.5D world and I collide with things that hit the top of their sprite (even though technically, I would be standing above them in that case). You've got it right on the monster sprite as the collision only occurs at his feet, however I'd have like to see the collision at the base of the sprite for the other objects.

I like the slidey controls as they give a pretty good challenge, though i'd like to have seen the ghost go even faster (Maybe just my personal preference?)

Unfortunately because of the 2.5D collision problem I could only make it to level 3 before the dogs raped me.

I like the sounds, though simplistic, just that sound alone helps get across the fact that a collision occurred which can be a huge help.

Man, these people own a lot of pets! Well done. I was really glad to see there were more than just one level. I like the take on the theme too.

Fun take on the theme! Controls were a bit too floaty, and collisions with other things not really intuitive. But fix those things and it is a cute little game. :)
