The castle
I'll write what went well and what went badly in the game.
Here's the main features(in order of creation): 1. Castle built from voxels 2. Grass 3. Sun 4. Fence 5. Sheep
Originally I obviously wanted sheep to move, but there were several problems with that plan: 1. builder doesn't allow custom algorithms to be used, so movement needed to be done via generic features, and built from small pieces 2. moving sheep had problems with sheep direction and orientation 3. there were significant bugs in the moveml primitive. It seemed that quakeml primitive didn't work well with moving operation, thus when both were needed, it transformed the 3d objects wrong 4. these all issues meant that sheep movement couldnt fit to the LD deadline
After finished, we got the following feedback: 1. Graphics is ok 2. There's no gameplay 3. Sheep doesn't move 4. Sun looks like fried eggs 5. there's nothing that can be done in the game
After some feedback about no gameplay, I invented small tasks for players: 1. Count the sheep 2. Count the fence posts 3. Count the voxels 4. Count the blades of grass
This fix slightly helped, but didn't remove the feedback about missing gameplay completely.
