First Timer Blues

THE RELEASE WAS INTENSE. I freaked out for a straight hour while features were cut left and right so we could have a proper release by midnight - the coincidental point where the looming "jam ends" counter added up to in our timezone.
In the single digits minute count before the timer was out, we pushed our first release, with a tiny little bug that disabled every single enemy in the game. RATS. We're doomed. The clock ticked around the 20 seconds mark when the last hope of uploading a fixed release was snuffed out of our hearts.
That was when i F5ed the page, to be greeted by a submission hour+ counter. I NEVER KNEW THIS WAS A THING (maybe this was just somewhere really obvious and i cant read for shit, thats always a possibility). You know the feeling you get when a very scary deadline is moved forwards? It's a straight up spiritual experience. The game was promptly fixed - of course, our cut features are still staring at me with sad eyes, but hey, i bet yall would prefer 5 more levels instead of a "YOU'RE WINNER" screen nobody asked for, right?
At least that's what i try to tell myself :)
